And before you start harping on about how you represent thousands of likeminded investors just remember this: tens of thousands of posties are also shareholders...and every month invest millions of pounds of their own hard earned money back into this company.

A company which then turns quietly around and steps them straight in the back.

I thought RMG might offer 4% with no strings attached...a straight pay deal.

But what they are in fact offering is nothing more than mutually assured destruction.

I don't often agree with Pullinger but he is right about one thing: you cannot live under the threat of what Kretinsky might or might not do if he gains control of the company.

The board has to accept the fact that they have in recent times spent £400, 000, 000 on shareholders. Just half of that would pay for that 4% pay rise.

2. Implying by your reaction to Jessnozzy that their is no risk of a strike.

There is a lot more chance of a strike this time around I can assure you.

Pullinger stated that they will now officially enter into the four week negotiation process (something which they are obliged to do by former agreement) to try and resolve the pay deal.

If the union don't get a satisfactory pay offer they will then put the company on notice that they intend to ballot for strike action...I think the union has to give the company one weeks notice before they can post the ballot papers to members.

No way is the majority of the CWU membership going to accept all that I have detailed below.

And no way are they going to accept 2% either...or the 1.5% with strings attached.

I am the most moderate of posties...even I will probably vote "Yes" for strike action after reading the below.

1.Later start times due to reduction in planes.
2.Scrapping 32 allowances and supplement.
3.Sunday will cease to be voluntary.
4. All new recruits on inferior pay and conditions creating a two tier workforce.
5. Increased flexibility including annualised hours.
6. Reduction in sick leave payments.

No way is that lot getting a "Yes" vote. Not a snowballs chance in Hell!!

Share price should take a tumble tomorrow then.

Some hard negotiating ahead. Think the CWU might be on a bit of a hiding to nothing on this one though. Won't be much sympathy from many outside observers if the CWU is looking for a pay rise comparable to inflation. The CEO of ICI or the Governor of the Bank of England might get it...but a postie?

looks very much like it has all the hallmarks of another fund raise. Thought it might just be a reaction, as has affected most other stocks, at first due to present circumstances elsewhere. But no...

has that slow but consistent: drip, drip, drip away -- downwardly direction. Not encouraging...whatever reward it has received or might be being heralded as.

Can see these being better than anticipated. Tracked mail has remained busy from what I see of it. Last couple of days has been absolutely crazy busy!!

Come final results day there will be an update about Warrington Hub I should think.

Looks like they will fire that big monster of a machine up towards the end of May on low volumes and a small number of operatives just till the managers are comfortable with the feel of it all.

All the duties and shifts have been sorted out and 300 staff have been ascribed to their positions...obviously this is only 35 - 50% of the total staff that will be required when the machine is cranked up to its maximum output.

Cross docking operation in full swing over there now...very high volumes of traffic.

Once that new Daventry Hub is up and running in the not so distant future...then £7.02 will be just a fast fading point in the rear mirror.

I want £8.00 a share for my stock...and in a couple of years from now I'am going to get it.

Seems JP are quoting £7.02 as the new price target.

JP have been bullish on Royal Mail right from the onset of the pandemic.

One of the few brokers who have maintained any consistency here. Fair play to them!

Wet my beak four or five times over the last several weeks (including again today)...even managed to snare a few at £3.23

Not buying again now till the union gives an update.

But good, bad or indifferent...it is all the same to me.

If it goes sub £3.00 on bad news...then so be it.

Good bit of information by AngerSharkz...I have often wondered why overseas investors, talking particularly about Northern America, don't seem interested in undervalued UK stocks. It would seem it might just be about time that they should.

Yes. Lets hope this company can fulfill its much anticipated potential...its got a decent shot at it now I would say.

Remember that the share price always goes up as we approach the 15th of each month...the day the posties get their shares through the company scheme.

They were not bought last Friday (obviously) ...so they would have been purchased today.

I would wait a day or two yet before buying any more in any great number (although a little nibble here can't harm) we will soon know how things are going regarding the negotiations...and it WON'T be plain sailing. So maybe time to buckle up?

Could be some really choppy waters ahead.

This company has really re-positioned itself very well over the last several years: lots of innovation here.

Still needs to start generating meaningful and sustainable year on year growing revenues though to be of any particular worth. Hopefully that will start to happen sometime in the not so very far future.
