I agree Cunir, a regular live show timetable would be a v good revenue generator.
There are some big announcements to come its just how long to wait until we get them.
Live show schedule
Extra region releases
New Device releases
Financials
Hopefully price doesn't sink too low before these are announced. Just have to sit tight
Unfortunately can't see Merian disappearing anytime soon- we had the showcase live event which saw a small bump in SP, while it was a success (in my eyes) there doesn't seem to be anything in the next few months which will cause the SP to swell. This could drop further before we get some good news- think the way to out the shorts would be better than expected financial returns.
Long term growth will be very exciting- just need to hold on until we can shake off these pesky shorters
I wonder if part of FB paying for the advertising means there is an agreement for Meoldy to agree to a long window (6 months- 1 year?) where they can't release on new platforms as it gives less competition for the oculus?
Pure speculation
I agree BA, when I bought my flat off plan I was treated to a showroom first showing what they would be like inside before the building was built and I bought it off the back of that.
Now the showcase live performance has been completed its time to start building!
We have first mover advantage in the music industry and now have very real blockers to entering this market. To dilute that effort for perfection in this market would be fruitless at this time. Once the userbase has been maximised, live gigs/content are a regular and all regions entered, I don't think it would make sense to explore other avenues at this time.
It would need a very large fund raise and further share dilution.
FB believe in us and are looking to drive AR/VR growth- think they are the best partner we could have at the moment. For a company with such a small mrket cap- having them promoting us is pretty huge.
Do we have any idea what the official viewing numbers are for the Liam Payne concert? Would love to know the split as in number watched on facebook and numbers watched via the app on the headsets....
Just back on quickly to say Melody responded to my tweet (asked if its live or pre recorded) to say:
'This is a session which we recorded with the band exclusively for MelodyVR- so it will be available straight away for the fans! Watch out on the 26th December for the launch!'
Sounds good!
Last post as officially off work now until 2nd and going to stay clear until then.
Merry Christmas everyone enjoy yourselves!
Hope its a blue Christmas!
Love it!! They are making some moves! Not sure if this is live or not though? Have asked on Twitter
Agree Bloodshot that opportunities for expansion endless and given Melody is a subsidiary I imagine in future they will do but have to learn to walk before you can run. So far they are the market leaders in VR music and have v little competition in this space. I can imagine they will sell off the Melody arm at some point in the future and that will probably be when they venture into different spaces.
For now Melody will be (hopefully) the big gravy train. Given (what I see as) the big success of this live show and the numbers on FB tuning in- they will be able to sell tickets for the next show and these will be the big revenue generators for the next year. Once they have expanded into Asia I think we will also see them release all their pre recorded footage.
Soon there could be as many as 300-400 pre recorded shows and live shows every/ every other week
V Exciting times!
Even though I couldn't attend/ watch on my Oculus/ not really a fan of Liam Payne/ I think I am still responsible for about 7,000 of those Facebook live views.....
Or big institutional investor comes in and buys a large chunk
Unfortunately until Merian decide to close their short doubt we will see much in way of SP rise. Think that will only change when next set of financials released. (Provided its good news of course).
Each entitled to your own opinion. In the matter of making money I go with a 'whatever floats your boat attitude.' All about making money here theres more than one way to skin a cat. Apologise if i was harsh to you in past Pumpa. Best of luck.
or sitting on a boat seeing the shark fin and Jaws soundtrack.... im getting carried away now
Imagine sitting in a truck going through the Jurassic Park gates with the music kicking in..... then you see the dinosaurs
Very interesting part of this article:
"The third bit, which people find the most interesting, is kind of interactive original content. That can be anything from an interactive listening experience through to a journey through a VR world. That can happen with artists, anyone from John Williams to artists who are no longer with us."
Artists no longer with us...?
Queen/ Beatles etc would be amazing if it could somehow be done
