It would make sense to include full library or release a calendar of what is going to be released in the next 12 months along with live shows- why else would you subscribe to something without knowing what's coming out, their current release of content I believe is too slow, so to switch to a subscriber model must mean they plan on releasing a lot more content in the new year. Either that or they release the full library and have a calendar of live shows for next year which would be the AAA rating from me!
Well that's a pretty ringing endorsement and echoes what a lot of us have been saying that we believe this is hugely undervalued and has the potential to be huge. Good times ahead i'm sure
Walked into the o2 and in the o2 store they have a massive screen showing clips from MelodyVR, I asked to try out their VR headset and the first thing the staff recommended was to try a live concert and brought up Melody for me.
Should help increase awareness
It would make sense for FB to do so, they have tried their own way with venues but Melody are the leading lights in this space, would save them a lot of time and hassle to have the experience, licenses, artists etc already there from Melody
Been out of this for over 6-9 months now having originally bought in at 5p, watch it drop and then eventually climb to 9, sold at 6.5, but been following this since and feel now is the right time to get back in. Wish I had before it was app of the day but funny to see in all that time optimist is ever the optimist and horse is still livid lol. Pleased they are both still in though think holding this stock the best option for all concerned, like I did before where I held a loss for the best part of a year before it turned, it will take time but progress is being made.
lol, if you think this is a short term buy then you are the one probably hoping for a buyout. I'm hoping for continued sustainable growth over the next 2 years. I can afford to sit and wait. It may see a sharp rise on good news, but this is usually followed by a drop off again, until it is consistently delivering live shows, on more platforms, across all continents SP not going to shoot up and stay there. Long term, continued growth. If you want something short term find something else unless you are praying for a buyout which is highly unlikely given the stage they're at.
Haha thanks ssmith_trader, its not the type of stock you would trade short term and expect to buy at 3p and see it go to 7p overnight is it, so whats the rush?
I for one don't believe that all 80 or so employees and management are playing playstation all day drinking coffees doing jack all and believe that whatever it is they are working on, improved quality streaming, more new experiences besides watching a recorded gig, mobile adoption etc is being done so in the right manner.
This was always going to be a 2-5 year share to buy into. Would you rather they rushed it, got it wrong and SP crashed to zero as people/ investors/ FB lost confidence in their product or build the foundations for a stable future by getting it right. If you are looking for a quick return then don't invest here- simple.
Attacking me when you have slated this from day one and criticize others for investing is a waste of time, some people can see the bigger picture rather than get worried by day to day movements in the share price.
Would you accept £1,000 now if someone promised you £1,000,000 in a years time? Same scenario.
I can understand the frustrations of LT shareholders in this, the SP has continued to fall and everyone has either averaged down or made a loss. I believe in the future of this company, while everyone criticizes the board i believe that so far they have done a stellar job.
No news is not always bad news and the management team they have in place are some of the best in the business. They know what they are doing. The drip feed of content I believe is a good thing, if you look at the twitter exchange explaining how they can improve the video quality resolution it means (in my eyes) they are saving their best quality content for the release on the Quest/ or for mobile use. The content so far is what I would say B/ C grade material with names big enough for people to take notice but not rush out to buy a headset, that will change when the product is ready.
I personally would rather they took as long as they need to deliver a fine tuned quality product rather than rushing it out to market, they are right when they say they have first mover advantage, they have deals in place and NDA or not, they have the content and I am sure they have a plan in place for live shows, but why do live shows with a less than perfect product or release when the servers may not be able to maintain a high volume of people watching at the same time.
It may be all coming soon. But I believe for one that it will be worth the wait.
Surely there are apps that are not gaming related on the Quest- seem to recall seeing National Geographic VR, Netflix and Youtube on it?
A forthcoming Oculus device is either a clever way of saying a future device or i believe it is the quest they just weren't at liberty to call it that at the time. In a way this could be beneficial if there is a countdown to launch, fb could start advertising for us and have a live show to launch the app
fingers crossed but lack of any rns detailing whats happening is a bit worrying, even just a progress update on new app creation would be nice
No RNS today is worrying. Saying on a forthcoming device could mean its not on the quest at all. Not sure how merian know to keep their short open as long as they are without having access to info we don’t. Maybe Am and SH waiting for this to go down further before buying back in
Given FB have paid for EVR to develop and update their app for the upcoming Quest, if they have managed to incorporate a Venues style addition for watching Melody vids, ie you can watch concerts together with friends, which I believe they will as FB is all about bringing people together, then I cannot see how Melody will spread onto other devices like PSVR etc as there is no way in hell FB would want them to gain access to the best quality music material out there. That means to me that an RNS with an exclusivity agreement with FB or FB buyout altogether.
I am being special its still there. Not sure how long it takes to update though. Hopefully they have closed some of their positions
Am i being special or is the Merian short not on there any more?
Looks like they finally closed today. Hopefully thats the start of some good news flow and the shackles will come off the SP.

if it were the case I would expect the SP to rise a fair amount not go down....
I think its been mentioned its on the 30th April
SH is speaking at a conference today- last time he did this there was a splurge of buying...
or merian finally getting out (unlikely but preferable)
Personally I quite like it when smith_trader comes on here, shakes things up a bit and its always blue the next day :D
Think telling people to set stop losses is the give away
The encouraging thing is that VR is becoming more and more mainstream, they even used it on sky sports last night to show the view of an offside decision from the assistant referee's viewpoint which can only be positive.
Fingers crossed.
My only worry is short may be waiting for those financials, hopefully underwhelming results offset by a strong release on the Quest like you say with new artists and encouraging news for the future
They were in the Evening Standard yesterday as well- plenty of positive coverage
