Have to say ... I'm disappointed26 Aug 2022 11:17
I was a holder of BT for a while (bought at 137p and sold at 185p) and just came back to consider debuting again (buying to hold as a passive income from dividends). However, I'm pretty underwhelmed by a lot of what I see.
On the positives I see a good quality service at a fair price, the reintroduction of dividends and an unlikely takeover prospect.
However there appears to be so much negative things like flagging customer numbers, increasing debt, unhappy workforce that are striking, this pensions deficit and it's not clear to me that BT can afford to continue to pay these kinds dividends with the other pressures.
It's a difficult one because I do genuinely live the share, the history and the potential it could be but I kind of feel they need to get some of those negatives right before they start sending out dividends to shareholders.
Interested to know if others are buying or selling just now and why?
