Most of these price movements are oversteered, so if matched funding can be located, i fully expect the share price to fly up immediately to those highs we saw back in Nov/Dec when the grant funding was announced. Think that was 7p or so, quite an up tick from these current levels.

Remember if matched funding is found, we are basically being gifted 50% of our current market cap in cash. Which is crazy. Not many companies that can say they have that in the pipeline

Whilst I think it is correct that new shares will likely be issued, VLS is effectively being given free money in the form of a grant of up to what £28mil. I think VLS has potential for long term upside. VLS were the biggest winners in that grant funding so you have to think that they presented the most potential, at least through the Gov's eyes.

Big Mike giving it laldy. Couple of weeks ago and you were shilling the arse out of NWG and saying you were staying the course however long that takes yadda yadda. Less than a week later and you've shat the bed and now pointing at others that didn't buy at highs.

The ones dumping their bags and fleeing for the hills are the ones to blame for the share price going down and creating paper losses for others.

People sitting on paper losses or indeed real losses like yourself need to own their choices. We all know the risks involved in dealing in shares, don't **** and moan because I managed my risk appropriately and you and others didn't.

As I said before, notwithstanding all of the challenges going around at the moment, I think NWG are well placed to weather the storms well. Short of a nuclear strike kicking off, in which case money is going to get you nowhere anyway, NWG are long term very well positioned. So anyone who hasn't shat the bed and dumped their bags like you will likely be well rewarded in time.

In the blue corner, we have the rampers, the ostriches with their heads in the sand, the loons proclaiming on their way to the ring that the bottom is in, heralded to the ring to the tune of D:Ream's "Things can only get better", led by T4G.

In the red corner, we have the derampers, the headless chickens running from profits warning to profits warning proclaiming Administration is merely weeks away, heralded to the ring to the tune of Primal Fear's "The end is near", led by Jongle.

I thought so too. I think the SP may go down lower but couldn't resist dipping the toe in this morning when the SP went to 316p.

Barratt still is moving forward with buybacks, which is not a bad way of utilising some of their cash reserves when the SP is so low.

A long term hold for me even if the price heads down further.

Gary, an interesting one thinking we aren't anywhere near the bottom. As a matter of interest, how do you arrive at that conclusion?

My view on things is that NWG are well positioned to weather a downturn in the markets. We have an abundance of cash in reserves and a conservative lending policy. As we know, BOE interest rate increases help the bottom line and it looks for the foreseeable future that they are going to be heading up or staying the same.

I think with the share consolidation, looking at the NAV, NWG are near if not already in the oversold territory.

The share price has been in absolute freefall since the share consolidation and special dividend.

Knew that opting to reinvest at the 5 year high was going to be high risk, hence the reason for opting not to do it.

Think NWG is a great discount at the moment though, so think I might out those special dividends to use again very soon

A cheeky £5k of CARD for the long term bag. Think the company will be well insulated despite the economic downturn given that our customer base is likely to grow.

I did indeed wildtiger. Bought BT around 137p and sold them up at 185p in the space of 4 months or so.

What did you buy BOO at?

Fira is absolutely spot on. I don't for a second think they are going to go bust but ultimately they were priced in the last few years as a growth stock. There is clear evidence this isn't a growth stock anymore and anything that believes different is probably invested too heavily in BOO.

You can almost see the curviture of the profits as its started to arc back over. It was a massive success story there can be no denying that. However, it is at the moment an also ran.

I feel sorry for anyone that has chased their losses on the way down.

T4G - are you reading a different update to me? Those interim results indicate a £15.2mil loss, not a profit. I appreciate you may not be able to read that with your head in the sand but it does.

Wildtiger, let me guess you put your entire SIPP into BOO and now your wife's boyfriend is annoyed at your financial mismanagement.

I couldn't care what happens to BOO. Only reason I came on here was to see what the sentiment was whilst I was checking out the share price to see whether to buy.

Turns out it sounds like you and others are as desperate as BOO with people suggesting a reliance on Reddit movement to get the share price up. Honestly I'm actually just dead reading this stuff.

Folks on here appear to whipping themselves into a frenzy over shorts etc. Just having a quick look at the update from yesterday - there is little good news in there to suggest that the share price is heading north anytime soon. EBITDA down year on year for last 3 years, profits down year on year for last 3 years (and now losing money), a green agenda against fast fashion, an impending heavy recession (admittedly may not impact BOO's customer base to any great extent if the demographic is younger) and net cash down year on year. The only positive that I can actually see is that the company appears to be sitting on a wad of cash of £314mil, which is currently most of their market cap which is now well below £500mil.

I've been an owner of BOO in the past and sold as I didn't think this was heading in the right direction. Nothing from that market update suggests anything otherwise to me.

Don't believe all the maniacs on here claiming there is going to be an immediate short squeeze and we are going to 50p by Friday or 100p by year end. I personally don't think this share price is actually going anywhere (not up nor down) for the maniacs that are about to say I'm a shorter.
