I remember buying some shares the week before P2 results . It was jogging up to 36p , then back down to 31p . I was thinking about making a quick trade , but never did thank goodness . But there was no rise into that news , just bobbing around .
This time there is more anticipation , and more people watching , plus the stakes are way bigger again .
Either way , not long to wait .

If SNG data comes back good , I'm sure some interest will rub off on us . The world will wake up to Interferon again .
And don't forget we have a patent for freeze dried Interferon beta , and a manufacturing deal with AGC Biologics , so who know whether that may come into play .
SNG001 / Traumakine are both antivirals that could be stockpiled for future epidemics .

Well , Guatemala has been added to Activ 2 study today as an extra site ( seem to be daily updates this week )
I will go out on a limb and say I don't think that was the sole reason for the rise today however .

On some days quite a few of the quieter shares won't give me a quote to sell either .

Invested a small amount back in here today . First did so back in late 2019 , but had to move funds elsewhere .
Watched the presentation , and have been following BIRD through this year .
It really looks like they are on the cusp of becoming very profitable , and the recent placing means they have the capability to get there now too , and quickly .
I wish I'd kept the shares from 2019 , but I think getting back in sub 28p should pay back some great rewards over the next few years .
Looking forward to seeing what they announce next .

Interesting that we had almost weekly site additions all the way until July as they were really pushing on , then when they were possibly compiling data no sites were added , all the way until Nov29th , when they started adding sites again , and now this is the third such update in 2 weeks - adding sites .

Perhaps the push into P3 is kicking off .

Haven't checked the Massachusetts hospital numbers for a while ( may give an idea as to how quickly HIBISCUS enrollment is going considering thats the main site location .
In the last 30 days - Covid hopsitalisations have gone up 250% approx ( from 512 to 1200 )
Those who are intubed has gone from 66 to 148 , and ICU numbers have doubled to 260 .

That's a big jump , considering before that it had been slowly going down for months .

So you'd guess that enrollment for HIBISCUS would be going faster now .

Another study , this time looking at mortality rates on Covid patients that have had other vaccines ( TB for example , that induce a IFN G response ) .
Their conclusion - IFN-? induced immune response pathways induced by BCG ( TB ), HAV,
and flu vaccination and natural infection may trigger a protective effect against COVID-19 disease and mortality.
They used a lot of data , from 59 countries , and used a lot of Vaccine data studies .

The study seems to go along with most other research looking at the immune response and cytokine storms , in as much as you can have too much of a good thing . You want an immune response , but not too much .

I did find a study that seem to link high IFN G levels with higher mortality in Covid , so I don't think everyone agrees , but it's interesting nonetheless .

Doing some digging on Interferon Gamma , and some interesting info is popping up .

IFN Gamma definitely seems to play a part in tumour immunity , although studies are still trying to figure out the whole picture . Success has been seen in some cancers , but not all , and some data seems totally contradictory .

Only done last year , so still a recent discovery - as to do with Covid symptoms .
They seem to make a connection with patients having more lung fibrosis after recovering from Covid , if their IFN Gamma levels were low .
They conclude if you were to administer IFN G (or a drug that raised IFN Gamma levels , see where I'm going with this ? ) at an early stage - then that could possibly be a benefit .

According to the BMJ , 72% of severe Covid patients who need mechanical ventilation - show lung fibrosis 4 months after hospitalisation . Pulmonary fibrosis seems to be one of the worst effects of long covid , for those who had it bad . It even showed up in 20% of those hospitalised patients who weren't on ventilation .

From this weeks RNS :
The biomarker analysis shows that in patients receiving treatment with bexmarilimab, interferon gamma levels increased after the first dose. Interferon gamma is a marker for inflammation which suggests bexmarilimab may amplify an immune response.

Have we inadvertently also found a treatment for Covid / Pulmonary Fibrosis ?

Lets hope they've got some patents submitted !
Considering they've done the TLR9 Agonist patent ( something we haven't heard about yet ) , who knows .

I could be barking up the wrong tree completely , but it's fun to speculate .
