Some of us have been here for over 7 years .

We've seen the ups and downs - and understand the pitfalls and opportunities of investing in small biotechs .

Faron in Finland are a very well respected company . Yes they are sometimes a little gung ho - but they are always going to be dictated to by the market until they can stand on their own two feet .

This week is just another necessary step for them .

Big Pharma obviously wouldn't play ball at the price required - so Faron called their bluff and did this .

Once the fun and games are over - they really will be in a much better place .

Timo and the like have been here for years - just adding to their holdings . No doubt he will do so again at a nice discount - and on we go .

Exactly - todays SP is irrelevant if you aren't selling . Very relevant if you are buying .

Last time I got my allocation at 80p and asked for more ( which I also got ) . That pot quickly doubled in price .

The market wants certainty - and a good low entry price . Once the raise is done - it will have both .

And back up we will go .

Same pattern - except this time we are a further year closer to getting on the market -so the platform value is even higher .

Well thats another 4000 taken at 65.9p

That would have cost me over £7000 a few days ago . Cost me about £2600 today .

Nothing has changed other than shortly they are going to be funded well into their P2 trial to the interim results where the FDA can grant accelerated approval .

Yes harsh dilution - but still 100% wholly owned - and moving towards commercialisation stage of this therapy where the big bucks start coming in .

Cool heads - and keep your eye on the prize .

On the plus side if it drops 50% tomorrow I'll only lose half the amount that I lost today .

Any premium on whatever the SP ends up at today and we could be in for a big bounce .

25-30p would be plain ridiculous and a total p**s take . remember Markku and family have huge holdings here . Plenty of skin in the game - along with Timo .

It will be interesting to see who adds during this fiasco .

Most of the big holders are in Finland , and the Nasdaq North is the biggest market for us . Still makes for awful reading today . But on the bright side - it should get better ( eventually )

Itsall , It is brutal that's for sure . The market is ruthless when it comes to this sort of thing - small pharma wanting to raise big amounts . Its David vs Goliath . See Avacta for example - they ( and me ) got absolutely shredded . And no matter how quiet they keep it , once there is an opportunity to dump stock knowing you can buy it back cheaper - its a no brainer .

And we are left just wondering what that price may be . Answer - always lower than you first thought .

At least today I had some cash on the side - it may go lower , but at least I helped mop up some .

The day Faron finally shake off the need to raise cash will be a very good day indeed for us all .

Yes I should have waited - but I just got my last batch at 70p .

I guess this will go down as another classic ' hiccup '.

If you can endure the pain - taking advantage of situations like this can be very rewarding.

At this stage in Faron's progress - it is perhaps the last time they will have to do such a fundraise .

So all those wanting to get on the train will now want the lowest possible ticket price to make the most profit down the road .

Faron will be in the process of determining what price they can get this away at I guess vs what the big Investors would like .

Won't be long to find out I guess .

Last time they did this it was announced immediately that 80p was the price . And if I remember right , the SP never actually got that low . So those holding did get a better deal . Not sure why the delay this time .

But back then I bought some inside and outside of the offer - and made great returns .

Plan on doing the same again this time .

I think 40 mill might have needed a bit more than 30% in my opinion . And by doing it this way they give preference to existing shareholders - who now have the chance to take advantage fully of the discount window .

Yes its a kick in the teeth from one viewpoint , but at least the large long term investors will have the time to deploy more capital if they wish .

So at some point if you want to take part in this rights issue - you would need to to buy some shares yes ?

What price would you plan to buy ?

Well I picked some up at 85p . That's about 50% discount . Crazy but might as well buy . Its not like we failed a trial - we are just funding it ourselves and keeping more profit . Long term this will make many bags . Just need to take a longer term view .

I'm guessing they will tell us the planned offer price in the next day or so ?

Then it will be interesting to see how the SP reacts .

As a rights issue - it is a closed raise for existing shareholders yes ?

Although I read in the blurb that they have the right to offer some additional funding to new non investors ( as they previously have the right to as per normal ) Interesting whether they will also do that ?

Timos action will also be interesting . He is in deep here . Will he double down ?

Anyway - I'm feeling excited . Finally we are getting of the bench and moving this thing forward .

Still 100% owned - moving to a point where the payouts are huge .

Plus we have the solid tumour trials starting .

I hope the likes of Santhi etc don't get too downbeat . Yes its not the news you wanted - but your shares will be worth plenty down the road . Deals can still happen . Lets watch the webcast tomorrow and see what they say .

Well , I suspected this may happen . Not worst case scenario at all - although it's certainly pushed the golden payout down the road a bit .

However - If this company was a lost cause - they wouldn't be raising 40 million euros - and they wouldn't get it .

This raise will get them to an even more valuable milestone - if data is as expected - it will be a totally derisked point for any Partner . Pretty much market approval basically .

Short term - depending on the raise price - we could well see a swift rebound ( like the 80p to £2 last time ) - so actually it could be quite a nice little earner for those taking part if they want to trade some .

I'm happy to be honest - gives me another bite of the cherry . I'm here long term . My gold shares have given me the boost this year already - so content to sit here and watch developments .

I'm sure every Big Pharma looking at Faron for the last few years have been holding off until the data got stronger ( which it has now ) .

The solid tumour trials will add their own value in due course - but that is months if not years away .

The Bexmab partnering is where hopefully BP can move now . It's fully packaged up and ready to launch . They have proven the efficacy in order to gain FDA greenlight . Orphan Status . Fast track approval . FDA trial design all sorted . Faron have done the number crunching on potential revenues and market share . We have taken on a top tier Pharma deal maker to tie this all up .

Yes I wish we could be a fly on the wall to see what exactly they are negotiating over . No doubt the BP teams are expert at negotiating too - but from my standpoint - Faron have something very valuable - that the BP's want . One way or another - a deal will get done . I can't see any other data gathering or procedures that Faron need to do in order to get a deal signed . Everything is in place .

I know what you mean Howard . As investors , we should be excited knowing what we have here , and that the company is working on a massive deal , but we all end up just feeling cheesed off looking at the SP , and thinking that all this hype never seems to come to anything .

Surely we now are at the point where they will do a deal . I just can't see any other option . The only decision is what the price tag is .

Going it alone from here doesn't make sense . Faron have stated that . They want/need a big Partner to take this forward leveraging the scale / experience / logistics .

Anyway - I just check in everyday to see if the BIG one has arrived . Thats about all we can do now .

Good luck - like Jnr says - these periods will always be quiet - just part of the journey . The fact that they are now just getting on quietly and not blathering around at conferences - gives me hope that they are finally just getting down to it .
