Yes applegarth, probably an old housewife’s tale! Still I’ve always waited until the dust has settled on the Tuesday! How did your broker go broke? He must have been a serious gambler!!! Brokers by their very nature are the middle men and as such are using other people’s money.. bet it’s a good story! You’ll have to tell me at the York party!
I used to take my broker out to lunch once a year, and after about the 3rd or 4th Brandy he used to give all sorts of quality tips. Mind you, I had to try and stay sober to remember them!! Oh the good old bad old days of watching teletext to see if your shares were rising and before that once a day in the ft!!
