Just woke up ...... very decent of the Stock Exchange to let me have a lie in this morning!
Nearly bought back in myself but decided to hold off and wait and see what happens tomorrow. Given this level of volatility, would rather wait for price to start rising before buying back in again. Especially, against a background of copper actually rising.
It's fine to disagree with someone but when you choose to be rude and confrontational, it says much more about you than the person you choose to attack. Otherwise you just come across as a troll.
This is an informative and interesting bb with several very knowledgable posters. Personally, I enjoy reading posts from Tuscon as his/her (fairly sure it's a he) knowledge of this particular share and overall investing style and experience always makes for a good read.
Perhaps your time could be better spent reflecting on why it is you choose to keep opening new user accounts so soon after being banned and why you feel the need to adorn yourself with glossy titles that perhaps could best be described with the galactic words ...... the EGO is STRONG with this one!
Now please jog along!!
Bit difficult to answer your question as it would mostly be guess work at best but have just polished the old crystal ball and can see skies of grey turning to skies of blue with fields on fields of daffodils swaying in the gentle breeze. A young child laughing runs past and picks one of the many bulbs. Underneath is a piece of paper with the numbers .... difficult to quite make out but if I turn the glass a bit I can just about see the numbers ..... nah, it's gone all cloudy again!!
Thank you for posting the above link casual. It was an interesting read.
Unfortunately, we've seen many positive forecasts before and yet the share price has fallen time and time again! I'm just being cautious! Analyst estimates often seem to reflect current short-term business trends which can and do change frequently for all sorts of reasons. Also the issue of whether analyst views are independent and whether a positive revision really reflects analyst optimism or whether they have 'skin in the game' so to speak. Not saying it's the case here by any means but it's worth bearing in mind.
Sorry if this link has been posted before but if not, I thought it might be of interest:

I consider Kaz to be a well run company with strong fundermentals and excellent growth potential in the mid to long term. Overall, it's a stock I've done very well from in the past but have sometimes been caught out and had to sit tight and wait for the price to recover. Hence, my being more cautious than usual and adopting a short-term trading approach recently when circumstances allow. That said, I hold shares in a gold mining company that also produces copper and silver so am well covered should copper take off.
All the best,
saurus
Morning all! Good to be with you again after another bout of poor health.
Following the recent fall in share price, took the plunge and bought around 8,050 on Mon between 4.83 -4.88 (from different accounts). No commission as we pay a quarterly fee instead. Had intended to tuck them away but all things considered, went with my gut instinct and sold them all late yesteday afternoon for a profit margin of between 30 - 35p. Time will tell if it was a good decision.
All the best,
saurus
Gold is back above $1300 levels and up around 37 dollars since last Thursday. Good news re increase in value of Kaz Minerals 10% gold production:

Good Morning all,
Interesting as always to read all your views.
What a difference a few weeks makes? Only a few weeks since the share price was above £7 with some thinking price would break through £8. That's how quickly this share can rise and fall. Over the years have ridden the wave many times but have also experienced the falls when it's a case of 'batten down the hatches' of the good ship Kaz to wait for the storm to pass. It's a 'rock & roller ride' at times, that's for sure.
Good luck all and may the wind be at our sail soon,
saurus

Sorry my post did include paragraphs. Not sure why it didn't turn out that way. Will try it again:
This should be a paragraph ....
Watching share price closely and waiting for it to near enough bottom out. Have set aside funds to purchase around 28,000 further shares, so just a case of being patient now. Don't ever expect to buy at the bottom of the range or sell at the top but as long as good profits can be made that's the aim. Doesn't always work out of course especially, with beta stocks like Kaz which are such a roller coaster ride at times!Hope you are on the mend and feeling much better Roydon. Feel for you as poor health is so difficult to cope with long term as it saps energy and wears one down. Also hope your test results were fine. Have experienced poor health myself having had 2 organs removed in my twenties and undergone extensive renal and urological reconstruction surgery. Also suffer with frequent infections which is a downer but managed to have children which wasn't thought possible - where there's a will there's a way and all that! Fortunate also that 2 family members have become paramedics in recent years which is a big help as it reduces time spent in hospital as they can and do everything needed. All the best, saurus
Thank you causal.
Seems fine this morning. Not sure what the issue was as I was able to access all other sites.
In a funny way that and recent price drops reminded me of 'The Outer Limits' cult tv show - each episode beginning with a voice over (slightly ammended):
"There is nothing wrong with your computer screen .... Do not attempt to adjust the picture .... We are controlling transmission.....If we wish to adjust the price range of Kaz shares we will"
First time since Thursday I've been able to access this web page. Does anyone know what the problem is?
Thank you for the update Daniel. It's great to see more posters returning to this board.
Although as expected, it's impacted on share prices across the sector today, I take heart from Tesco's rise over the past few months and the fact it's now at a higher price than Sainsbury. This hasn't been the case for several years.
Indeed, our shameful system of governance is now so deeply flawed that despite extensive evidence of wrong doing, including: expense abuses; cash for honour scandals and Parliamentarians using their positions of influence for their own financial gain, Westminster continues to allow these same individuals to not only scrutinise their own deceitful behaviour but it actively prevents investigation by restricting access to information that may lead to wrong doing being uncovered:
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/newstopics/mps-expenses/11204405/MPs-to-escape-expenses-investigations-after-paperwork-destroyed-by-Parliament.html
All of which tells us that a culture of parasitic greed and self-interest is now so entrenched within Westminster and scrutiny so weak, there's now very little attempt to even pretend to be embarrassed any longer. Instead, it actually enables those on the make and on the take to continuously service their own blatant greed & even rewards some of the worst offenders with bling bling titles under the guise of public service!
To understand the real reasons why our economic & political systems are broken & why UK regulation & scrutiny is so weak, you only need to look at:
- The number of politicians who have accepted the corporate coin & all sorts of iffy sponsorship.
- The level of nepotism within political parties.
- The sheer scale of lobbying scandals & dodgy dealings between parliamentarians & big business; together with the grubby collusion & blatant attempts by political parties to stop this information being made public.
The swamp people refer to when they talk about establishment cover up & greed is narcissism & is the root cause of much of what is wrong within our systems of governance.
It's only when the scale of wrongdoing is viewed as having reached critical levels where it's impact is causing immense hardship & suffering to large & increasing numbers of the population will a tipping point be reached & action for real change be demanded. Until then the pretence, collusion & establishment indifference will continue but as some have pointed out, the warning signs are all around us.
Haven't visited these pages in a while but good to see the troll(s) have finally been banned!
Stopped reading as the repetitive nonsense spoiled what was an informative message board.
Sold my holding a few months back but decided to buy back in again before Christmas. Look forward to reading all the new and views.
Regards,
saurus
Enjoy your posts tuscon especially, as your knowledge of this particular share and overall investing experience always makes for a good read.
Best wishes,

No jam today; no jam tomorrow but the possibility of jam six years, six months and six days hence at tea time served with home made scones and a pot of home brew. Transferred from a can on account of it having been kicked down the road so many times, dents were appearing but full strength assured on account of the back stop being replaced by a full stop to get round the windy problem of grammar and the new age politician.
Although the referendum result was a vote to leave the EU albeit by a small margin, the majority of parlamentarians wish to remain in the EU. Despite claims to the contrary, most are not willing to honour the result. This largely explains all the noise and theatre which is designed to frustrate the process to such a degree that either the UK leaves in name only or there's a second referendum.
Well done! Good profit.
