Who would buy in a rights offer? Many long term holders have been caught twice by a rights issue "guaranteed" to save the company. Would the institutions support it? Once bitten etc. Any hope of returning to above £1 have gone IMHO. Just going to sit here and sell when I need the cash and hope for the best, Darby not getting another penny from me !!!!!!!!

The way I read it is they already have more than 30% of shares and options for up to 50% which makes it a mandatory offer. They expect to get to 90% by closure which means it goes through unchallenged. There is no rival bid on the table to force the price higher.

Isn't this a "Mandatory Offer" ie the offering company has secured enough shares to make it compulsory? To me this is a good deal irrespective, bought @97p and 107p when divi was 7% and local shop open to redeem vouchers. now no divi and have to travel to get choccies so with no dealing costs it,s a no brainer.

Upside:- Nice profit to invest in share with Divi. Downside:- No more vouchers to spend on choccies anymore........will my Christmas mint selection now come covered in nuts and wrapped in gold foil ? LOL
