I'm not sure what much else Jose could do.. He was stuck with hundreds of millions of stock which he can't make money from (although he was part of the team when this was happening). At least he has taken action and re build the business model.

Must be plenty of pressure on him with Ashley & Povelson

Market sentiment changes if a company is doing well. As long as consumer sentiment doesn't drop then this should translate to increased profits and then the share price will follow. Unless the there is some sort of corporate action then the share price will bounce around between £3-£4 here.

The update yesterday was overshadowed by the stock write down of £100M. They next update has to be good - no excuses of old stock will wash..

I maybe alone but I think Asos now stands stronger as a business than at any point in the last couple of year having ditched the hundreds of millions pounds of dead stock. If all goes to plan without having to sell at a discount/loss they should be more efficient at selling new, in demand and profitable product at better margin. We are now starting at a new base and am confident will see better numbers in six months time. (gosh I'm sounding more like Jose each day..lol)

Asos's problems stem from the massive overstocking which could have been entirely avoided.

It's taken two years to deal with this issue. I'm hoping going forward now it will become a leaner more profitable again.

Strange that there was no reference to partnership with Reliance retail in any of the presentations. Has this just gone cold?

At least should be no more surprises regarding write downs now going forward!

It's the unexpected 100m stock write off that's tanked the price today..

Hopefully all will be forgot in a couple of days and we can recover some ground. It's now a true starting point from which they have to deliver..

The business has to move forward now. They have got rid/written down the old legacy stock now.

The market won't take anymore excuses for the next set of results.

Hopefully, onwards and upwards for the business (Maybe not share price in the short term)

Why do you think they will be terrible SJP? They have already told us the below...

"ASOS expects FY24 adjusted EBITDA at the top end of consensus estimates2, sales slightly below guidance, and all other guidance as set at FY23 year end remains unchanged."

I did check the threshold required for notification and looks like 3% so yes looks too small for tr1
