These are QFI timelines not MSC. QFI have the information and they should be experienced enough by now to issue competent and reasonably accurate timelines.

“LONO to begin no later than 31st December 2022”. This statement was issued summer 2022. Given a fuel supply agreement had to be negotiated and then put in place physically, the Leandra had to get into dock and have her refurbishment, who’s fault is it this timeline was missed?
What information did QFI possess that made it likely LONO would begin December 22?
As of today we have no fuel supply partner let alone a physical supply, and the vessel concerned shows little sign of entering drydock. Are you suggesting MSC and others have given QFI a bum steer?

Believe what you will, it’s pretty obvious QFI issue timelines that are at the extreme end of what’s possible but in reality are so unlikely to happen as to be meaningless in terms of real guidance.

The above from the most recent update. I think it’s reasonable to deduce from this statement that he’s referring to the Leandra docking schedule which must surely be fixed by now.
If so then there’s a few months to wait before she gets docked and readied for PoC and LONO.

The issue for me around Utah are the timelines put forward by the company. It’s worth re-reading the more recent ones regarding commercial users and when production might begin.
It all reads fantastic but the devil is in the detail. All the above subject to drilling approval and suitable product. It looked great as a headline but in reality had zero chance of happening as stated.

The MSC LONO was due to begin “no later than 31st December 2022”. However, this was “”subject to vessel availability”. The vessel has not been available and the fuel supplier has not been tied down yet. Makes you wonder how these timelines get past a Nomad!

Fair point. Only issue really then is when? How long are you willing to wait for this larger return to materialise? If you bought into QFI on the MSC news a few years ago then yes, what you say makes sense.
However, if you bought during and before the Maersk era then it’s a different perspective. Between then and now the company has not delivered any commercial income. So confidence in their ability to do so might be linked to when you first bought in?

The outcome of the Morocco saga is crucial. It simply has to produce a positive test and move onto genuine commercial talks and contracts. Only that outcome will change the perception of delivery failure.

Which is why Twitter could be better used to update shareholders on non-sensitive developments. No reason whatever why they can’t do that, just choose not to for some reason and instead post links to others news or posts.

They really need to get Morocco over the line with a commercial deal. Changes the landscape completely if that were to happen.

Who knows when dry docking was planned? I don’t but if QFI were informed then it’s a bit of a worry given their first goals were to have PoC underway by “31st December 2022”. Missed by a mile, and that’s the problem. What they say, and what the way deliver. It’s not new, been this way for a long time so, evidence of positive change required Id say
