The link below brings you to the Noble Hans Deul JU rig fact sheet. That's what a JU rig looks like. The drilling tower on the stern can be pushed out (cantilevered) to drill wells in the open sea (Elgood) or over a production platform (Blythe & Southwark) and drilling is then done through the conductor (i.e. production) pipes inside the platform.
And the Fleet status report of Noble Drilling states:
-QUOTE- : Contract awarded by: IOG / Start date: Early April 2021 / End date: Early May 2022 / Contracted dayrate: Not Disclosed / Present position: Warm stacked UK / Contract award for 5 firm wells (1 x Elgood, 1 x Blythe, 3 x Southwark) - Plus 2 x 1 well options -UNQUOTE-

Peakview e.a , on the IOG website is a nice artist impression on how the field and pipelines will look after Phase 1 https://www.iog.co.uk/assets/core-project-phase-1/
Hi GG, indeed lots of activities in the coming months.
Noble Hans Deul is still stacked near Invergordon, but I do a daily check to see if tugs are arriving on site.
Exciting times ahead indeed!
It is always nice to see that there is actually something real and physical behind the RNS updates from IOG management about progress and ££ stuff and financial reports ! All we have to do now is wait for a tug & barge to tow this thing to site and a crane vessel to put it all in place. I will keep an eye out for that !
At the HSM facility in Rotterdam the Blythe topside was rolled out of the fabrication building and is now awaiting transport and offshore installation. https://www.hsmoffshore.com/en/projects/oil---gas/platforms/
I am also with Trellis and Phippsy. In the meantime: TAKE CARE - STAY SAFE !
Take care, stay safe!
I'm still here, buying at times, never selling and happy with the positive atmosphere in this RNS
The last weeks it was all red on the share trades. But today is a BLUE day! That must mean something about buyers confidence in IOG!
Day 16, a lot of shares changed ownership and the SP is still 0.1875! Not a single up or down. ROCK-SOLID!
Has anybody seen something like this before?
The SP hit 0.1875 on October 30. Today is day 14 with a rock-solid SP, some significant sells and buys and ZILCH change! I am very glad I know a lot about sailing and working offshore and shipping , etc. and nothing about the works of the stock exchange :)
So this was another exiting day!
3970 shares sold and the SP rock-solid at 0.1875p for days on end!
Is this really the silence before the storm?
I keep fingers crossed.
I like the "when", aligator :)
I will continue to do the same thing that I did over the last years: WAIT & patience and keep fingers crossed for a bright and beautiful future! Thanks BUTD!
What a strange period in the life of IOG and on this blog! A lot of good things are (apparently) happening and there is deadly silence on this blog and a SP that moves neither up nor down! I have very little experience in the trade markets, but is this normal? Brgds,
Hi Daftasabrush.
Ditto, also in here for a long long time, completely baffled and still waiting for beautiful things to happen.
But it does require a lot of patience!
But... I have a positive mind!
The JU rig Maersk Resilient has left the Harvey location and is now on its way to the next job (Jill Field) All we have to do now is wait for the detailed analysis of the well testing results.
It looks like the days of the Maersk Resilient JU rig at the Harvey location are almost over. The last days showed cargo runs with a supply vessel to Great Yarmouth and now the AHTS Maersk Laser (a powerful tug) is on location and I assume that it will tow the rig to its next assignment soon.
Peakview,
I just returned from 2 weeks Brazil (offshore) without much access to the internet (and that can be very relaxing at times) Offshore it seems like business as usual: Maersk Resilient is still on her location, the PSV FS Carrick is also on site for cargo runs and no tugs in the area yet for a rigmove
For those people who are interested in offshore export pipelines and how new field are connected:
There is a wealth of information on the internet. The Utube link below shows how a modern tie-in to an existing pipeline can be made. Preferably diverless these days in the North Sea. This is just an example.
