Hi James, completely agree. I would love to attend and meet some of the knowledgeable investors here. However, I have no time. When you run a meeting you can screen those who join online. Setting up a payment system in advance is hardly rocket science. Bamps was earlier saying that he has put in hours of work. Why should he not benefit financially

Bamps , please don’t take this the wrong way but I am rammed with work thanks to Rachel Reeves making Liz Truss look gifted!! I can’t do a near 400 mile round trip. I can however attend a video meeting and pay £100 for the privilege. A muppet can push record or simply send a video link to the live event. I am sure that there are loads of attendees that could sort this for you. I have asked for this a number of times . Why shouldn’t you earn from the presentation? Why force people to travel several hundreds of miles? It is hardly an environmentally friendly outcome.

No one…there is also a small matter of Gold over $4000 oz and Clogau starting to blast soon. MCAP is miniscure so even a small success could lead to a multi-bag. It has been a long journey with licenses and flooding but the fat lady hasn’t started to sing . When they started the Clogau venture POG was 1500 to 2000 per OZ. The amount of golf per ton needed to be far higher than the current very low bar. It is an existing mine. The gold is/has been there. Surely with POG at $4000 they must be able to extract something profitably.

Paul, I hope it works for you but the whole sector is on fire. Jupiter Gold and Silver, GDGB, GGP, Physical gold and Silver, Ninety one gold. There are so many ways to play this. I hold 5% GGP and what is now a big sector overweight to include the diversified options stated. A few days ago the central banks holdings of gold exceeded those of US $ for the 1st time since 1996. 24% vs 23%. History suggests that this will rise further driven by buying from China and Russia in particular. If POG stays strong everything in the sector rises . Are China, Russia and Korea challenging the old world order where $ was king as a flight to safety? For me this is a structural paradigm shift exacerbated by geopolitical tensions and interest rate cuts. Enjoy the ride.

Will people please cease this “we are being held back “ nonsense. The market awaits our HAV DFS and assays for Telfer. Why would anyone pay the normal 15 x multiple when they don’t know how long Telfer will produce and are in the dark on Hav? By Xmas much should be revealed , so chill.

James, you are aware that many of the companies in that index are on the US and Canada exchanges. They are trading as I post.

Paul and Element, we are on a P/E of 7.2 because the 7.2 is a multiple of earnings and reflects future earnings. We await the DFS for Hav and drilling results for Telfer. Telfer mine life was stated as being only a year or two. It follows that markets remain cautious as they await results. Clearly if we see Telfer with a majorly extended mine life and a positive DFS for Hav there is considerable upside. Fingers crossed 🤞

Hi I am talking solely about the cost of being on AIM nothing to do with the other costs of running the company. If you check you will see the the 500k AIM costs are average and a bit of research asking how much would the annual costs of a £4m MCAP cost on AIM will give you what you need.

Hi, it would not cost a tiny company like Alba 500k pa. The figure would be less than half that amount.

I have no issue with small amounts of debt on favourable terms but have watched many miners (and oil companies) get themselves in a right mess funding projects only for the price of what they are mining to fall leaving cashflow forecasts in tatters and a complete mess. Tullow oil is a great example. I am sure that our BOD will strike the right balance.

With POG at circa $4000 oz you don’t need to find great grades to generate a good profit. MCAP still only £4m including GROC. Still very little upside priced in. I regard it as a punt but since pumping the water to gain access to lower levels and now able to blast, it is at last game on. GLA

Some good posts here but sadly drowned out by the dross. We had 3 shoes to drop this Q. We are 1 down and it was good. In fact good enough to make disgruntled Aussie institutions feel reassured and less duped on cross listing. We await the big ones - Telfer assays and HAV PFS. I said £4 by 30/9. I was out by 7 days. My next target is £6 by Xmas per some analyst forecasts. Please forgive me if this forecast is fulfilled quicker than 25/12/25!

FWIW the flight to gold is structural and the result of a deep paradigm shift. We have lived for years in a world dominated by the west led by the USA. In this work the $ is king and the safety default. The new world shows the emergence of Russia, China and N Korea as a new centre of power. We see the west steeped in debt. In this scenario is $ still the safety go to? What asset for centuries has been universally treasured? Gold. The move is exacerbated by current geopolitical tensions, a maverick in the Whitehouse, debt and falling interest rates. I have no idea where POG will go but with central banks buying and access via ETF’s demand is strong. This is my personal view. GLA

The MCAP here is trivial especially when the value of GrOC is extracted. With POG at circa $3950 Alba need only a whiff of success to multi bag. Value of the gold mine circa £1m. No success at all priced in.

I said a few days back that in the current climate my strategy will be to drill as fast as possible, get decent assays, then sell to a producer whilst POG is high and they are dripping with free cashflow. Looks like that is precisely the route being followed. If we develop to production it will e a difficult ride for shareholders. A sale to an existing producer would see a 4-5 bagger in quick time. MHO1, I don’t know if you noticed but we are in an information vacuum with GGP whilst we await results. People can post the normal deramp/ramp drivel but given that most people here are fairly savvy and do not hold everything in one stock I thought that a broader conversation about “investments” might be useful. This is especially on a weekend when markets are closed. No worries I will stop and let the board defend to its usual weekend chat.

My personal 80% equity /20% fixed interest tactical portfolio for higher risk investor.

You will find it beats the living daylights out of a standard 20% gilts and 80% global equity tracker approach over the last 12 months. FWIW I have just sold Artemis…seasonal volatility but I expect gold and defence to continue to be favoured. Perhaps some us smaller companies and pharmaceuticals. Undecided.
