I don’t want to rain on anyone’s parade but we await assays. In the meantime the sp will be volatile.The MCAP here is tiny (forget the sp it is a red herring). The company is worth SFA. If all they have is dirt then literally SFA. But if they have Telfer 2 then this multi bags. I have said it before but a lifestyle company will pump, raise, slowly spend the cash….rinse and repeat. In contrast this company is drilling on speed hoping to hit a tier 1 resource whilst POG is high and mining companies are awash with cash. A high risk punt but I am happy to hold. GLA

The sp has oscillated as we await assay results. The fact that this is a surprise to anyone is astonishing, actually laughable!. If you think the assays will be rubbish please sell and foxtrot Oscar. If you think they will be good then hold. In the meantime will people just grow up. Every time I come on this bb it reminds me of my children when they were in reception at school. Some posters here should genuinely feel ashamed.

This board is like listening to children in a casino or a day at the races. We await the assays, end of. In the meantime a lifestyle company does a raise then slowly spends the money, then ramps, then raises…repeat! This company has raised and is drilling at double speed. Could it be that they want to come out with results whilst miners are awash with cash. Also clueless comments on here about POG. there has been no “crash” . Big gains this year and a much needed healthy correction.

Lots of miners showing falls of 15-20% from their 16/10 highs following big rises. This is not a GGP thing it is a systemic thing. We have our own action to come with Hav DFS and Telfer assays. GGP is 5% of my portfolio and I am very chilled. Action here for traders, good prospects for LTH's - enjoy. Other than GGP and a few bits (so over 90% of portfolio) I am all cash just taking stock after what has been a phenomenal run across pretty much all markets (with the exception of oil...I wonder?)

Bird brain, anyone can claim to make money on an anonymous BB. However, people who actually have money know that keeping quiet about it works to their advantage. I remember in the 80’s when the 1st gold card came out. You needed 40k income to have one. You then got your flashy gold card and expected a positive response only to receive barely concealed resentment. People with money know this…so jog on !

flightman aka bird brain! i am not interested in an oil stock on this bb. you have not told us anything we didn’t know. we have a company with a tiny mcap (for an explorer within a spit of telfer ) with pog)at circa $4000 per oz. it is **** or bust here. we all know that. we await assays - heads or tails. in the meantime please bore off, snore!

Shan, the difference now is that POG has increased by circa $2000 per OZ over the last 2 years. The grades don’t need to be great. Also everyone is awash with cash. A lifestyle company would sit on their cash and drill from time to time.Wishbone are drilling hell for leather hoping/expecting to find something during this window where other miners have have windfall profits and literally don’t know what to do with it. In the past had we discovered gold there would be a spike then a dip as the reality of funding hit home. In the current environment I would expect then to swiftly sell to the highest bidder. There is lots going on at GGP and the geology is similar. Finger crossed. Our MCAP is tiny a larger miner could buy this from a few months free cash flow (assuming 300k+

It might help a number of people to understand that the biggest market for gold mining companies is N. America. Also to have the ticker for Vanguard junior miners and normal miners = GDGB & GJGB. N. America was down big time yesterday hence OZ being negative too. N. America opens at 2.30pm. It is up so are the other companies including GGP. The companies move within the sector and the USA is open after we close. Yes we have GGP risks but the broader market is very relevant. I think that many posters fail to understand this when they comment on the SP.

Gsent, some people trade volatility with no interest in the co, some are LTH, some are a bit of both. POG is hardly tanking , it is over $4000 per oz. A bit of healthy profit taking is necessary in every bull market. I don’t regard myself as brave for holding this company. It is a small punt with money I can afford to lose. My gamble is that the geology is similar to GGP only 15 miles down the road. The Mcap is tiny, mining companies are awash with cash. I believe if they find anything decent they will be bought out. I am happy to wait to see if my educated guess is right. GLA

Matty, With all due respect what an ill considered question! The market for miners today is down over 4% whilst we are down less than 1% - so a good outcome today vs the broader market. We trade on 7 x earning vs sector average of 15 so when markets move in either direction our move is usually less (both ways). The reason we are trading at this multiple (and therefore SP) is due to the fact that we await assays for Telfer ( the market hasn't got a clue whether our mine life is 18 months or 10 years) and we await DFS for HAV (the DFS will establish timeline, costs and will update resource etc). The good news is that these issues will soon be resolved but in the meantime, really!

Before anyone fills the board with the usual waffle about MM manipulation, the broader market for gold miners is down over 2.5% today. We will probably go down too.

Aim, the problem with debt is that it needs to be repaid and the lender always demands their pound of flesh. If borrowing would speed up the development of Hav then it makes sense to borrow some money. However, that is not the case. If we were using our money elsewhere it would divert management focus. Personally I would prefer 100% focus on HAV and Telfer at this this time. Also predicting commodity prices is notoriously hard. Debt taken on board with an expectation of POG north of $3500 would be less palatable at $2500. We were sold in the expectation of POG continuing in the $1800-$2300 range…even the big boys get it wrong! Take a look at oil companies like Tullow oil. At $120 per barrel they would be rolling in it but at $60 ouch! I am happy with SD’s current strategy.

My take on the recent interview was somewhat different to some of the comments posted here. A while ago I said that with POG so high if I was running the company I would drill like mad to prove feasibility so that I could then sell to another miner who was awash with cash. They did the placing to speed up drilling. Listening to the interview they are drilling at every faster pace. This is cash intensive. If they wanted the money for themselves they would take their time (it’s what lifestyle companies do). Why deplete cash. Instead they are drilling hell for leather. I may be wrong but it tells me that they genuinely have found something and are wanting to give the market as much as possible so that they maximise the deal. As I said fingers crossed 🤞

There are lots of traders who buy the dips and sell the spikes. They seek volatile stocks and have no interest in the company at all save for its volatility. In contrast others research the company and buy for the longer term. This latter group will often buy and sell on peaks and troughs too.Good luck to all. I hold this as an educated punt(only 0.5% of my portfolio). I have a feeling that they will strike gold (proximity to Telfer, similar geology etc) and that they will be purchased by a producer shortly thereafter. With POG at current levels miners are awash with free cashflow (100% different to 18 months ago). The free cashflow means that not only can they purchase it but swiftly commence drilling from free cash flow . This means that the value can be realised earlier, which in turn make it more valuable. Fingers crossed it comes good, I am happy to wait it out. GLA

Swingman, no patronisation but please take a look at the wider market. OZ is closed. Last night Canada miners were up. Today ouch. GGP are trading today post Oz close. Newmont currently down 7.83%. Broader market for miners in free fall. I sold all gold funds this am knowing they had a mid day price point and that I could profit take on Canada etc. GGP is a good ship to ride the storm but expect a tin hat on Monday unless gold rallies strongly.

FWIW our sector is now down circa 7% and this stock only down circa 3%. For reasons stated this morning we are less impacted either on the upside or the downside by sentiment on POG movements. I await DFS and news on the extension of Telfer mine life. But every day our cash position builds and we are at less risk financially. To be able to drill at this rate and in all probaility fund Hav from free cashflow would have been beyond SD’s wildest dreams 18 months ago.

The lack of intelligence shown here by some is astonishing. Bazza your post was absolutely nonsense (sorry but someone should tell you). This stock is down under 5%. The sector as shown by GDGB and GJGB is down more ( these Vaneck indexes are -5.92% and -6.19% respectively). So in a nutshell it is not the nasty old mm’s out to bash poor GGP but the whole mining sector being marked down!

We are trading on a 7.2 x multiple as opposed to a 15 x multiple because of uncertainty around DFS and Telfer mine life. It follows that until this is resolved we would see a smaller rise from POG than our peers .As this is obvious can people stop moaning. My preference is to look forward 1) to our 15x multiple which should happen later this year and 2) to the 2nd re-rate. The 2nd re-rate would be if Telfer mine life is significantly extended so that we get dual production 500-600 thousand oz. This gives a potential 4 bagger from here. Not ramping , just telling it how it is. We need the DFS and the Telfer drilling assays etc but this is the prize and I am not selling.

The GPP multiple of circa 7.2 vs market average of circa 15 is IMHO very fair as we await DFS for HAV and given that officially Telfer mine life is very short in the absence of assays to prove otherwise. This quarter that should change that narrative with DFS and drill results. It follows that this is when we will get to be treated like other miners (assuming all is good). If we then have a multiple of 15 our SP would double. That would suit me very well indeed! GLA
