It’s inconceivable that the government didn’t weigh up the science and didn’t get preliminary report from mhra. They’ve done enough U turns to last a lifetime. They most certainly do not want another one on dodgy tests.

Pretty sure someone put up a link on AVCT this evening, he also said in the Mologic AGM yesterday?? They said tech transfer in December for their LFT. The guy was an AVCT poster with 400 odd positive posts and not affiliated with other boards.

Merch I agree with you though. DF has to be in Oct or Nov... and tech transfer in early Dec, which would make it Xmas present.

Home use for NHS staff. Those are the people currently in scope for the tests they do at the moment.

I agree, im just throwing out some caution. I've never seen a share so volatile especially on good news in recent times, or at least from the UK Covid index.

It helps if the ones who are in it for a ride understand what constitutes as good and bad news and actually pay attention to whats being said here.

People also dont seem to understand that deals of this nature are incredibly hard to negotiate. They seem to think a government advisor turns up with a 20m pounds cheque and say give me 5m tests and its done. They don't understand all the legal spiel that needs to be added into the contracts etc, they also don't understand that its not as simple as committing to buy X now and when RTC are doing global orders, the government cant just come back and say we want X million more tests and expect them to be fulfilled.

Its a complicated balancing strategy. Millions of pounds are at play and limited capacity. It would help for all parties to get this right and avoid contract disputes later on. Throw in wanting government funding to ramp up manufacturing and its messy to say the least.

I don’t think the gov order is going to be massive at first. I said first because when the vaccine rolls out there will be a ramp up. I do hope it’s big, but unconcerned if it isn’t.

It’s the stamp of approval that rtc want. Being able to use the government as a reference point is significant. Colin alluded to that in the meeting. The gov stamp holds value.

Basically don’t **** your pants if the order is less than what you thought it would be.

100% you dont need approval from MHRA for Gov order as long as its for professional use.

You can make 1bn tests, ill repeat that, 1bn Antigen LFT tests and every single one would be sold before they came of the conveyor belt.

You have to be really careful about what you say, they ARE talking to government about upgrading facilities. If the Antigen LFT is on the cards, the Gov surely cant refuse. BUT if he plays it up and the Gov say no, then itll look negative on him. Poor sod was trying his best not to give out too much information.

This for me is a hold until January. Thats when everything will be in gear and hopefully the boosters will be on too.

Mologic have a prototype Antigen LFT which is/was in Heathrow airport trials. ODX will make those if Mologic are successful.

It’s standard practice. The 98 figure is also in the white paper. I don’t want to go into the mathematics of it but I’m sure you can figure it out. It’s year 3 stuff in school.

Last thing, if it makes you happy that I’m wrong and that CK and the whole consortium is wrong, and the white paper is fraud because it’s really not 98.... I’ll agree with you if it helps you deal with something as trivial as this.
