We will all have to adapt to a world where this form of Coronavirus in will continuously mutate and will be left with an ongoing endemic in perpetuity. In the current period of change and adaption it’s going to be rocky, but after a few months capitalism will force the wheels to turn. Human nature being what it is, covid 19 will be an accepted part of life- in every plague throughout history the economy keeps going. After the collective thinking is one of acceptance those left standing will be well away. Those providing resources from non Asian sources will be in demand for supply chains USA and Europe.
This covid 19 could resolve pension crisis issues in Europe, the looming demographic catastrophe of the one child policy in China.
Rough ride right now though and each person that gets ill or dies, regardless of age would not want this to be the result.
So could be very good for Wres, but I might not get to see the outcome having joined a couple of the risk groups.

Andrew. It’s a very good thing to do is nothing in extreme crisis. There are all sorts of critters that survive doing that in droughts or whatever, anthrax, frogs in the aus desert, seeds, etc etc, they are masters at surviving and taking advantage when things brighten up. One of the biggest stressors for people, organisations and country is change. The Covid19 is here to stay and will not go away imho. We and organisations all will have to adjust to a new way of being that might just be, or be more, than hand washing and an annual vaccine etc.
Once the change, or at least the acceptance of it, is in place life will resume. Commerce always and without exception causes adaption, it’s master money always wind out you can look at plagues, wars, earthquakes etc. What is clear is that supply chains will be deeply reviewed and the flooding markets with underpriced whatever will not so easily cause hegemonies on the supply side. So I would agree tungsten from Wres will be welcome in many places. The medium term could see great improvement in our investment, short term it’s hard to read, long term superb imho.
And I can’t get that vision of Jenny agutter diving in that water out of me head.....

Dreamy, yep there was a bubble needing bursting on the markets. On the virus, if it is an apocalypse then investments won’t matter. Given the Great Plague of London, saw 7000 deaths a week on a population of 450,000 we probably will survive. There will be business opportunities during and after this. I think credit lines will have to be extended temporarily for most businesses in the short term. In the meantime a demonstrable gold resource would be a thing to shout about imho.

All along there has been an issue on figures, the fatalities could not be easily calculated. Lots of variables etc; however, I think S.Korea is the best source for numbers because of large scale testing-Less bias on the side of only symptomstic victims. Anyway yesterday it was over 7000 positives and 46 deaths- (0.45%)if that holds as it is then that’s a lot better than estimates out there, to be like flu it needs to be sub 0.1%. Taking into account those not tested it could be lower. In Italy they have highest proportion of old people so we can expect bad figures from there. For me I am over 60 and have done health issues, call me concerned- however, I have arthritis which evidently offers some resistance ( it’s an ill wind). Investment wise, if you are in anything its going to hurt. The disruption depends on the reaction and how bad the virus actually is. I think large gatherings are not good and the asbestos, radiation, contaminated food ‘never done me any harm’ mob will be the problem for spreading. Whomsoever is correct on how this plays out does not matter. It’s gonna be bumpy. The sooner this gets rationalised into a way of living as all things eventually do the better, cos I think it’s here to stay now and will be part of life. It’s going to be a sort of viral Logan’s Run- Michael York and Jenny Agutter fine about the time she did that film in Aus getting all naked and such diving in that water phwoar...........

When it comes to govt organisations etc; when did the govt last discuss what was being done about asbestos ( all use, sales etc) banned in November 1999. Put your trust in your own sense by all means- but large organisations, NGOs or govt are not something I go on. Organisations of self interest imho.

It’s hard to know what’s going to happen with Covid19, but until there robust data sets it’s tricky. The Italian Dr that spotted it in Italy first, said that the first one was only identified because someone had died and she asked for a test to be carried out- she thought that there may well already have been deaths in Europe that were passed off as pneumonia and those victims had already Spread it around etc. We may all well be in place where lots already are infected. Until we get lots more data and ideally develop an antigen detector we won’t know. Still could be very bad or hopefully not so much. In the meantime it’s look after friends, family and self.

Figures to evaluate covid 19 are probably from s korea. It’s looking like a 1% fatality rate so far, that’s better than the numbers out of Italy, but over 10 times the flu.
If you can get chloroquine, but manufacturers are withholding it and exports banned, its efficacious in some treatments of the virus I have read.
