RE: No bad news as yet with the trials26 Nov 2023 11:38
Good morning Ahfam, no news is good news so it is said and regards to 1801 is the case.
6 months plus into clinical trial and all we are told is trial is going well.
Pre linical toxicity studies were carried out at over 30 times treatment dose and no adverse effects were observed.
Getting things right in preclinical will pay dividends later and is indicated here by acceleration into dose escalation did no hint of even the slightest adverse effect.
Autoimmune is indeed complicated and over half of all ailments are autoimmune related.
One of the most important aspects of the immune system is diet. Poor diet does and will lead to complications.
I have just been diagnosed with high blood sugar levels so have been actively on a strict diet. No added sugar no cakes, biscuits or chocolates, sweet drinks oh and potatoes, white rice or pasta,
I had another blood test Friday and will get result on Monday. Originally 6.1 so looking for this to have dropped slightly.
I often have thought about the contribution a healthy diet makes to overcome many diseases especially if undergoing treatment.
Back to Sareum.
All looks well with 1801 progression.
The economic climate has changed dramatically since early 2022.
The price of oil erratic at the moment. High inflation and high interest rates have a marked affect on people's disposable income.
Interestingly the US has been lifting sanctions on Venezuela and their oil production has increased. They have the largest oil reserves on the planet.
Market sentiment has had an adverse effect on the pharmaceutical industry especially AIM.
However, whilst this sentiment has reduced the market cap of companies (some close to 90%) it will not l believe reduce the value of of companies products that have potential commercialisation.
Large pharma with billions available will cherry pick to replace their patent endinding, pipeline of drugs.
1801 has the potential to be commercially extremely attractive but at the same time they will need Safety data and an indication of where 1801 can best perform. Biomarker data of extreme importance here.
The major concern l have is how Sareum intend to fund if required past the end of 2024. Do they have plans?
Maybe 737 will come into play.
All takes time, as we know.
737 at the moment an unknown quantity and hence what we have is the continued clinical trials of 1801 to go on.
45 million is peanuts for what we have, but market sentiment governs at the moment.
