V: Thanks for posting the youtube link. One of the problems of being invested in GGP is finding the time to go through all the postings on the chat board, which of course I can't always find the time to do especially as I hold NCYT, HEMO and SNG.....it's just overload. With the GGP board though there are some brilliant posters, if you can ignore the dross, drivel, rampers, derampers and general looney tunes there is some great analysis.

V: Yes, I am in GGP and very happy to be there. I think there will be a gradual then rapid increase in price over the coming months. They are AIM but have a lot going for them. Sold PLUS towards the close yesterday, only for about 1.5% profit but I only held them for a day and I wanted to boost my weekly profit. Hope you had a good week.

Sold ASC at 2799, T line on 10 min chart agreed and I was a bit trigger happy to sell, could well be buying back soon.

G: Agree with you on OCDO, yet they seem strong. On MKS, well, we are dealing with the national treasure type share and sentiment is everything to many private investors. Perhaps the expected iminent relaxation of restrictions is thought to benefit MKS. Personally I dont think so but they are low compared to the supermarkets.

G: yes, I find the geaphs on IG great, and fast to change, especially useful when you are looking at several shares. I believe L using IG as well and praises the graphs.
Bought back into CCL just at 14.30, thought that the US futures looked good, although it is going up too fast for my liking. MCRO could be getting close to a sell this afternoon..(because I need the profit today)

Yes thank you T regarding ASC. Just looked at BooHoo which I see as comparable. Maybe ASC is to be held for the time being. FEVR been doing OK lately also. Are you in there C?

PLUS underperforming for me today, I usually manage a couple of profits on them in a week, still they often have a last minute upswing.. I suppose this is a four day week though. Profit takers a day early this week, may well affect the OCDO price this afternoon after such a good run.
Might have to sell last tranche of MCRO where I have a little profit, wrong thinking really but want to cover my CCL losses.

V: Hang on in there, it's a learning thing every day. I am keen on trading in tranches too, I don't always do it, depends on my level of confidence in the trade. Nice of Tesla to name their car after me.
T: I bought back into ASC earlier.
G: I feel a bit exposed on OCDO at these dizzy heights as I have said before but they do seem to keep going up.
O: ? Note that MKS is trying harder today but somehow, I don't trust it!

G: I think this "trick" might be called "Fill or Kill" on ii platform.

G: I use IG and ii platforms, mostly IG. When I am feeling on top of my game and like getting the very best price, instead of asking for a quote to sell, I will set a limit sell between the buy and sell price (no matter what the spread), this sometimes results in my order being partially filled immediately, then fully filled over a period of seconds, sometimes minutes. Checking the listings later (and my IG activity history) shows the actual trades resulting. The "most" has been 11 trades to fill an order, once or twice, there has been a "1" share trade! but the total of the trades adds up to what I had initially requested.

Sold a tranche of OCDO at 1838, cant believe these prices, had a ride through 1700 the other day, now through 1800. Wow

Just back from my usual thursday morning shopping trip, noticeably more traffic/people about.
Yes, ASC have done me proud. Sold too soon this morning but still nice profit. On a selling spree at the moment, hoping to sell PLUS, OCDO and MCRO soon today as the profits together might make up for my bad accidental purchase of CCL on tuesday.

G: What is implicit in what he just said (and please excuse me for saying this and butting in) is that the 70% uplift on prices comparing IAG with OCDO....That is a 70% gain on OCDO at a record high to a new record high. With IAG it is a rise to only, say, a half of where they were trading before the virus. So I agree wholeheartedly, medium to long term IAG is a better bet than OCDO.

G: Yes, I doing OK, been meeting my weekly target, which is quite modest, so thinking of upping it to add a bit of frisson (or fear!). No dont use Stop losses, have been dissapointed with them a few times when price dropped momentarily appearing to be just to get my shares! I can hardly believe this but other people report similar experiences. I set alerts on things to remind me to consider acting. This works even when I am out. In extremis I will set a limit sell which I believe is treated better than stop losses. Bought OCDO first thing and have just sold ASC (a nice little no stampy earner). Good Luck,

G: 18% since March is not to be sneezed at, well done. I got a letter the other day from one of my building society accounts notifying me of a reduction of interest rate to 0.01% ( not 0.1!!!) and that's for a year. They don't like it up 'em, Mr Mainwarring.

G: I note that you could be interested in candles and the T line. I have been messing with it for a while now and it has helped me to better time my buys and sells. Mr Bigalow's youtubes are a good source and so is Lefkosia's thread. Also he answers questions and gives hints and he is very polite with us newcomers. I am only a beginner at it but it helps with watever "system" you are using whether it is spikes and shakes/ changing the number of shares you hold depending on what you sold them for OR good old fashioned buying low and selling high, my preferred system. Also, by using different period charts, you can tune to either day trade (using say, 2 to 10 min chart) or trend trade using longer period charts.
I hesitate to mention it in case I get told off again but Investing.com have pages on each share and within them there is a Financial Page(I think) that consists of tabular indicators (being different maths calculations) of whether a share is a buy/sell/hold. Simple, many indicators saying BUY being quite strong etc. I think you have to subscribe to get this information live but I just mention it to point out there is "stuff" out there. Managed to sell a tranche of OCDO at 1740. Maybe my profit on that will offset loss I am developing on CCL bought yesterday at 1003 on a peak, a BUY I don't remember making!!! This is what comes of using mobile phone to keep in touch with market while building shed (well, shelves in shed actually). Good Luck all.

V: Well done on MCRO, wish I was there with you. Yes, I have been lucky with CCL and OCDO but, as L and Mr Big(alow) would say, T line indicates a change and hence when to trade, it doesnt predict...but at best is only 70% correct but hey that is better than my normal 51%! Tempted to go back into OCDO soon but would like them lower first.

O: OCDO at 1684, that's the lowest they've been since records began 10mins ago! LOL
