Good morning Brigands.
Is it too much to ask but could we have another 30% hike on the ARB price please?
Got too much DIY stuff to do but may have the morning off to help OH with our thursday morning shopping habit.
Good luck all today.
o...yes its a Citroen Normale 11B, commonly referred to as a Traction Avant. It's a 1953 French built LHD and I've had it about 30 years...in fact when the customs rules changed, I was the first imported classic car through the green channel at Plymouth avoiding car tax/VAT etc. Of course I bought it as a wreck and spent about 10years getting it on the road. Ha, needs renovating again now! I also have a 1966 Volvo Amazon estate in my garage (behind the Teslas, oh, they're gone).
Made lots of progress o my porch today, really enjoying working outside on these things.
Glad to see ARB getting very frisky. Hope everyone had a good day.
Still AWOL I'm afraid but getting to grips with my DIY jobs. I have stupidly got about 5 jobs on the go at once...a bit like my approach to shareholding, ha. Today I made 5 housing joints and 3 running scarf joints, a couple of rebates and I took my old Citroen aroud the block for a bit of a jolly.
Hope you all have some good luck tomorrow....I have only made one trade in the last 7 trading days. Incredible.
Back from having 2nd jabs, surgery was as quiet as a grave (sic).
My first sell alert of week went off so I sold QFI for 13% profit, well, it seemed churlish not to. My only trade this week.
Hope everyone has had a good week. My portfolio value is down so much I daren't look.
Sorry, AWOL, having to get on with outside stuff while the weather is good, seem to be workig o 5 outside jobs at once, 3 stalled due to want of materiel. (think that is my first ever correct use of the word)
No trades this week so far but noticed I am taking a hammering. Received MCRO divi today however.
Good luck Brigade
C....I agree with most of what you are saying, indeed it sounds like the sort of things T repeatedly tells me. Changing my strategy is hard though. I am selling more things at a loss (three whole times since december!!!) I did take a fair bit "off the table" in January to finance some land and may need to liquidate something within next couple of months to fund roof replacement and fitting patio doors, both jobs I could happily do before I got this aged.
V...No trades, no Rioja, that's hard, very hard.
V...yes, GGP up more than 10%, that brings a smile to my face after all it's now my biggest holding, was 2nd before NCYT turned nasty. Woulkd like some trial results (good) news from SNG, they have been drifting down lately, is that a leak of bad news I wonder? At least they are up today.
m...I use Toolstation, can't afford Screwfix. Also there is a big place called Trago Mills down here where I get some stuff but I also use a second hand timber outfit in Bovey Tracey. If needs be then it's Wickes or B&Q.
C...yes, I should be happy with +50% especially as it's 50% of a big number, but I know I can do better. Two main reasons it is so "low" are NCYT/GGP woes lately and the fact that large part of my portfolio is "dead", underperforming shares locking up money that I am not trading.
o...TTG looking a bit exciting lately. Are you still holding?
Back to my porch I think.
Sulking.....mere 50% profit last year, NCYT nearly down the toilet, 88E not doing it for me and ARB? What is going on there? BTC at an ATH of $63K but still ARB price dulls around. Confidence taking a bit of a knock. At least GGP is trying hard.
So started serious work on rebuilding my porch, removed some glass, put temporary wood on inside across uprights to try to maintain spacing etc. Lots of tedious small tasks before I can even think about starting to rebuild. Visit to the DIY shop is called for as well.
Good morig Briggers.
I see my letter n is playing up again. Yes, high hopes for NCYT, looks to be moving up generally apart from the early wobble.
ARB putting a few percent on and 88E up 10% earlier, only 8% now. good oh.
Good luck all
