It seems logical that the RSA market would be pulled down by any set profit-taking at £3. After that there was the expected dip, and now we just need to see how strong the profit taking is. Given the fundamentals here are so out of sync with the share price it should break though soon IMO. Always DYOR. I find it best not to load up too much on any one share. Mind you I have broken one of my rules here and averaged up a couple of times, because the coal price looks set to rise further.

Yes, agree £7 a conservative valuation. Cash rich, a year plus of work to do in integration of SDL, then we may get to something like true valuation here. Not slicing any until I think we're overpriced, and at this current time my view is close to £8. Of course when we get there j may have re-evauated!

Yeah, it's about now that they will have the provisional H1 numbers, ready for formal release next month. Also build up of container ships at China likely to see iodine price increase further. Or it may be something else....

Current trading economics forward price is in line with Newcastle thermal coal, which I hope is a good comparison.

With increasing profits and cash flow, it would be nice to see a dividend strategy, to start to return value to shareholders. Something like 30% of free cash flow, with the rest reinvested for growth. I think it would bring some stability to the currently ebbing and flowing shareholder base, and in turn some stability to the share price.

On the expected profit for this year we should be trading far higher than this, but there seems no coherent strategy to increase shareholder satisfaction.

I will continue holding and trading, but would rather just leave my holding to grow as I do with most of my portfolio.

H1 Operating profit around £50m. Second half profit could be multiples more than that with coal price at $146 and coal futures at $171. If it just stays at $146 the average coal price will be around 50% higher in H2 over H1, with that surge in revenue hitting the bottom line.

This could leave a big hole in the iodine supply for significant time. Depending on the damage, rebuilding during covid times will take significantly longer IMO.

This is moving in the right direction for RWS. Price got slashed far too much when the dollar weakened after Trump lost. Will hopefully see a recovery to over £7 later this year.

I see there is still quite a lot of buying pressure. We have brine issues to sort, but we still have a lot of positives and opportunity. Revenue and profit will most likely be excellent thus year, oil price looks like trending higher, iodine price increasing, chemical business doing very well. We also have Iofina EX that could easily be rejuvinated with changes in US policy.

Chart looking good for 18p to 20p range in near future IMO ....

If I was to speculate, I would guess that brine supply has improved along with the higher oil prices. However, it would be pure speculation...

More than happy with this price as I've been out of oil since Feb 2000. Probably should have got back in earlier, but will be happy if we stick around here for the next month or two while I shuffle my portfolio!
