I'm 10% up but see at least a 2x. If you understood the RNS you'd realise the media are peddling FUD. Yesterday was the capitulation and that often signals a reversal.

It's cheap on a DCF basis, assuming margins recover. The CFO leaving does nothing to the mid term company fundamentals. Chill out and realise you're getting more shares for your cash.

But hey, uncontrolled furlough and 40% additional cash in the system was never going to be a problem... they told us it was transitory... now they blame the war even though we have broad based inflation in almost every area of the economy.

Unfortunately we're not through any barrier until we stay above it for a while. Games still being played but I'm feeling bullish for the first time in a long time.

It isn't just director dealings, it is applicable to anyone who has access to market sensitive information on a listed company. I'm subject to restrictions on buying or selling shares for the firm I work for during close periods and I'm not at director level.

Btw Arnold, as it seems like you're interested in my positions, as I've recently sold Exxon, which was my entire portfolio before I sold, I now have open positions in ASOS at 900p, Meta at $160, Intel at $35.50 and a small speculative position in THG at 69p. Good luck xx

I'm saying a recession is priced specifically into asos. Its being priced as if it will earn £30m net profit for next 10 years or so on a dcf basis, historically very low.

Oil and retailers are negatively correlated, I think oil will roll-over, as will natural gas. The only way to combat high oil prices is high oil prices.

I'm investing based on the knowledge that most things in life go in cycles. I purchased Exxon at $35 when people were saying oil is done and lockdowns will last for years. Recently sold at $95 now everyone loves oil. Now I'm sat in retailers, being told that there's much further to fall after already being 85% down by the likes of Simon and Arnold, which is a buy signal. I will rinse and repeat when the pendulum swings.

Poor old Simon is forgetting that the markets are forward looking and that a long recession is already priced in, as it was in 2020 when we hit 1000p.

We had capitulation, now for the slow recovery, I'll sell you some shares at 3000p Simon.

You'll never get a fair playing field. It's impossible to regulate to that level of detail.

Yea I agree that the LSE especially is an outdated exchange and lacks transparency, with auctions after the bell and uncrossing trades. But what can we do about it?

Therefore, we need to just suck it up and understand that if the business performs, it'll come through in the share price over the next few years.

Imagine if the market has got this completely wrong, and the true value in a few years is say, 700p. That's a 10x from here.

If the institutions didn't play these games, we would maybe get a potential 2x, not a 10x. I'm long too, be patient.

@onsolidground yes it is frustrating in that you cannot realise any short term gains, but all of these games that are played by the institutions allow us to buy shares cheaper than we could otherwise.

All investments are the present value of future cashflows, THG will be rerated when there is more clarity on the level of free cashflow in the future. Currently it is being priced as if it'll barely be profit making for the next 10 years. If you think this is wrong, you should be happy it has been taken this low so you can buy more.
