I hope you are right because they were woeful at running large CCGT’s a £25 million pound rotor refit isn’t the same as a combo boiler

I’m not sure this is a good move after their last foray into power generation. They previously bought several gas power stations and didn’t have a clue how to run them! They lost money on them all and shutdown and demolished the rest or sold them at a loss. I understand the business case just worry about the competence or lack of it

Do you mean gas peakers as CCGT’s? If so I thought Centrica had sold them all

I wonder whether this war affecting LNG gas imports to the U.K. will help Centrica get the deal with the government for the Rough Storage field? If it does I can see a share price increase. Any views?

Anyone know why the shares from the recent buy back programme haven’t been destroyed? Is this normal? I am fairly new to this

With normalised profits at least the windfall taxes under a Labour government shouldn’t be so severe. Always look on the bright side or you would cry about this share price!

Is this because they haven’t destroyed the shares but have kept them in trust? I am not sure just a wild guess

What am I missing here? I thought Centrica were in a very good position now with the share buyback and cash rich! I am clearly an amateur

It’s a difficult one, I feel Centrica are 20% undervalued but being held down but with a new government around the corner it could get worse
