I haven't an inkling of news but always suspect that there's something going on if the volume jumps (us PIs are usually the last to know). Great if this heralds an updward sp - about time too. Perhaps we can get closer to our consensus of brokers price of around 160p

I don't have too high expectations for next week. I think we need to batten down the hatches and hang in. This could take a while. Good that Simon is on his way to Africa, flying economy class I hope if it's on Paragon expenses.

I think it may be best to work in %s only. A 10% increase on 1,000 pounds is 100 quid whether there is 2 shares or 2 million shares. Doesn't this defy the logic of buying cheap shares? The only thing is the chance of them rising, not falling? My mother thinks a share in a company is "expensive" if it has a high nominal price, so she won't buy for instance RIO. She has missed some big profits thinking like that (ok, not RIO specifically). GL to us all anyway.

Mcap 47 million shares x 200p is stg 94 million now. Value?

I held these a few years ago and made a few % profit. Dropping in now and the story looks much better. Mcap is miserly - look at the assets, and the cash generative FFB processing ... Getting back to looking at this one FWIW.

I think by cheap you mean it has low price for each share, A small nominal value. To define cheap you need to have an idea as to its value as well as price. What I've learned is that every dog doesn't have it's day. I too wish you luck, and certainly when they rocket they can really rocket! Cheers

Seatrout, I like your reference to digging wells in Africa, that sounds really cool and worthwhile. I wish I had more time to give effort to those less fortunate than myself but regretably I'm very much tied to my work schedule and family and my time's just not enough. SeaTrout, You posted sometime ago that Paragon is going inot the Palm Oil business, and you got feedback that that may not be the best direction since palm supply is very robust already. If I look att he Paragon websirte and read the attached, it shows that you stated is not really accurate - it is better than the impression you gave. It is not a one dimensional play into buying a palm oil plantation. Which is good, as this Greenstar business seems to be the only string in the bow right now. Any who knows? Hi Seatrout, I don't have any at present. I think you have a good argument for a monthly newsletter posted on PARAGON's site - I don't think that's too much to ask at all. Especially as you ahve the weight of some significant sharelholders with you. There may not be much that is RNS-able in a regular way. Furthermore, you could pressure the NOMAD representing PAR, to be more active in releasing news as they are expected to PR the listed companies. Cheers Seatrout and I wish you the best. JP

Steeltrader77, I'm afraid my pf probably does reflect yours. I lost a lot of money on ANGM after having the chance to cash out at a gain of around 60% if I remember correctly. I was on holiday (it was Christmas) and my mind wasn't in the right place to make a smart decision. I've made a few bob on some like Sunkar and the clothing brand SuperDry, and Premier Foods. I'm only holding 5 shares now down from about 12 - it was too stressful for me to have that many and although I'm still down at least I feel I can stay on top of it. ECR and PDL are in there along with BAO, NRRP and GGG (Greenland Minerals traded in Frankfurt, Aussie outfit). In fact, I'm crap at this. But there are others who put all their money on one horse and lose the whole lot - I would never do that, at least.
