8.36p for 3.4 million shares BUY reported after the close. Price is too good for that size trade on the market - must be a negotiated private deal? Interesting though, not small potatos, that. Thoughts anyone? Anyone think it may have been a SELL at that price?

Hi S/T, Just got to get in the habit when it comes to morning runs. LFC - very disappointing not to win the league, and it'll be tougher next season too I think. There'll be a lot more games. Tiger - I think so. I don't play golf but I like to watch it live - it's a great walk in the sunshine at the end of the day, with a few cold beers. I've actually never held a golf club on a course

Hi ZZZInvestor - perhaps they are not putting their successes/contracts on their website but holding back for a mega-RNS? AIM companies have no legal obligation to update their websites with bits of business news - it is purely discretionary (other stuff is a legal obligation like having a website, directors, phone numbers etc). They may want to surprise us all, and then BBOOOOMMMM :-)

I believe that the sp will not fall much lower than this level of 8.00-8.80p given the size of the 10p palcing and the directors personal involvement. The motivation to over a return to the placees is high and I would expect that they would not be happy with less than a net 20% gain within a half year. We may find a raft of sells at 12-13p as places bail. I think it is getting close to the bottom, as Sid James once famously said.

Hi Seatrout, doing OK mate. Portfolio looking a bit better as ECR & PDL rise a little. Sold KMR at a small loss last week - good riddance. Weather here in Bavaria sunny and warm - great running weather for Runner! Looking at getting a new dog this evening - our old dog died recently at 15 years old - and we're seeing a 5 month old male German Pincher. It's like a mid sized Doberman without the bulk. Hopefully it'll be a good'un and I'll have a new companion on my hour runs early in the mornings. We'll be driving back to the UK for 2 weeks in July visiting family in Shropshire and putting our daughter into a summer camp in Shrewsbury. I'll be going to the Open golf at Royal Liverpool at least to catch the final round before driving back to Germany. Looking forward to it. All the best everyone, JP

April 2nd RNS; "The Company has operated at a loss for the year to date, in both cash and profit terms, and is expected to continue to do so until further earth moving contracts can be secured or an alternative strategy developed." Cannot put a date to this ... but it would be exciting to see what the "alternative strategy" may be. If it's convincing and immediate, the SP will fly! I am sure they are working on an alternative strategy (Beanpole - may be to process potash for another company?? - wow, that would be something - can a phosphate plant process potash? Anyone know?) So there's a hint in the RNS that something may be due.

The Company's wholly owned subsidiary, Temir Service LLP ("Temir") has been unsuccessful, to date, in concluding negotiations for a third earth moving contract on the timescale previously expected and, accordingly, Temir is now expected to generate materially less cash, during this financial year, than had been expected at the time of the last update in December. Management continues to negotiate this contract, but there can be no certainty as to whether, or when, acceptable terms will be agreed. From the RNS dated April 2nd "In the interim, on 29 March 2014 management agreed an extension to the second earth moving contract with a value of approximately KZT79 million (US$434,000), of which a proportion will be prepaid. It is expected that the Company will resume its work on site in approximately 15 days and that the contract extension will take up to 45 days to complete". So April 2nd plus 15 days is April 17th, plus 45 days is about June 4th. Hopefully on or about June 4th there will be news that this contract is completed and paid in full. Plus, SKR is owed for earth moving contracts already completed but not paid (under negotiation) - let's hope that negotiations are completed successfully and that there is cash income from that work done too (please see April 2nd RNS). Although it may be just a few $100K it will be greeted as very positive. I would suggest it will be quite quiet until the first week of June, just my guess.

I'm well thanks Beanpole. I've been doing some good running recently, 6 or 7 miles cross-country most days, which always makes me happy. Looking forward to news here and buying back in again. I miss holding SKR!

Hi Beanpole, I hope you are well. So far Sunkar has been focused solely on phosphates, not potash for which I believe SKR has no resource, and therefore no need for a processing plant. Besides, with the sums of money being bandied about as mentioned in your post I think Sunkar would be ex-Sunkar - my guess us that those guys with that amount if money in a well regulated place like KAZ would eat SKR for breakfast. Best SKR bites of something it can chew at this point. All In my opinion and I may well be proven completely wrong. Cheers, and I am still around waiting for a best time to buy some SKR for a speculative punt. JP

Personally I like the Bangkok Post at it adds a broader perspective to the pure economic stuff. Get you a feel for the mood. Just as an off topic, the Bangkok Post was famous for it's headline writing many (many) years ago and I remember a few classics. One time a Nigerian was caught at Don Muang Airport with heroin in his arse, and his name was Goodluck Friday. He was caught on a Saturday and the front page ran "Badluck Saturday for Goodluck Friday" with a picture of the said Nigerian with the offending drugs laid out in front of him.
