OK.

Always good to go back and re-read any RNS a second time with a clearer head.

First quote:

"A highly scalable test device using readily available components and routine manufacturing processes has now been shown to have a sensitivity for coronavirus spike protein in laboratory samples better than 300 pg/ml which is in the range expected for spike protein in clinical samples."
Taken at face value this comment says that they are able to produce a highly scalable LFT which works.

"In preparation for clinical validation of the lateral flow test Avacta is working on both saliva and anterior nasal swab samples."

To me this second quote taken at face value says that they can use either saliva or nasal swab for the LFT above.

Thoughts anyone. Have we actually got to a highly scalable LFT that works for either sample method?

There is an awful lot to be positive about for Avacta's future, despite the nauseating rollercoaster ride holders are on at the moment.

The one caveat is that this company has never yet managed to properly monetise anything. The potential is enormous however and we all hope that they reach these damn "inflection" points we keep hearing about.

Confidence from LTH's is somewhat dented today, so maybe not the best day to ask your qysetions. lol

I think the "trust" issue is exactly what we are seeing play out today in the SP.

Al raied the £50m and bought his new house and ramped up the sp over the last 7 months on the back of delivering a rapid antigen saliva test.

It appears that this is now not coming to market any time soon or ever. Obviously he knew this when he sold his shares.

I don't know what to think tbh. If they don't deliver the Cancer trial IND in 2020 as he updated again today that they are on track for, I think his credibilty on communicating to the market will be terminally shot.

It is not that we havn't delivered the "holy grail" saliva LFT as much as we havn't delivered anything from the blockbuster May presentation in what was heralded as a "transformational" year for the company.

I feel that maybe Al has taken this company as far he can and maybe it's time for someone else to take the reigns. That new house might just have been a retirement pad after all.

I would like to say time will tell, but for Avacta, time seems to stand eternally still.
