Crumbs, those already invested and who have been following the Scancell story a while may see this as a positive. The casual observer, new to SCLP May see this as increasing cash burn. The sp could go either way.

Just trying to bring some balance to the self congratulatory, back slapping, competition rubbishing hysteria!

Vascular, it is up to £20m per team, however, whether or not there will be more than one team remains to be seen.
Last year, CRUK were so impressed with four of the teams, they went out and secured additional funding to award all four “up to £20m”. Hopefully a similar thing will happen this year and all the teams showing exceptional promise will get an award.

I can only speak for myself but when we hit £6 I will be out and rich. I could not care if it went to £20, £50 or more, I will have made more than enough for my retirement. No need to be greedy,

I suppose you could look at it like this:

If we don't win the GC and the share price drops 2p you will be down £13,500 on your 675K investment. However, on your recent purchase of £800 you will ONLY be down £16. Is this what you mean by "mitigating risk" or is this "strategic amplification"? I get confused.

C7, 50p would be OK for a tranche, like you sell a few to get some of the original investment back. I think my valuation on SCIB1 alone was £1.44 and after the last few dilutions this would be 72p. When you add in SCIB2 and MODI1/2/3 then anything is possible (well when I say anything, up to £5 or £6 per share)

So I would probably sell tranches at 50p, £1, £2 and £5 were the opportunity to arise.
Of course, Scancell could sell the whole lot and I would have no control over the price they accepted.

Inan, OK I think I've got it. You had a financial target on your investment of £2.5 million. This was to be achieved through 415K shares at £6. You have revised your target to £2/3 but still want to make £2.5M. Therefore you need between 833K - 1.2M shares in order to achieve that.

It took a while but we got there in the end.

and if you do have a point, could you express it in words and sentences rather than cryptic jibes?

What you say is correct Inan, there is indeed nothing wrong with being rich. I sincerely hope you are right about £6 because I will be.

Ratty, yes that's what I said but nice of you to "Rattify" it.

Inan, I'm not at all concerned with your holding. What you decide to buy, keep or sell is entirely your prerogative and no business of mine or anyone else's. My comment/observation is/was: If you hold 675K shares (which I have no reason to doubt) and SCLP makes the lower of your estimates, £6 (which I don't deny is possible), your holding will be worth just over £4 million pounds. Invested, this should give you an income of £200K for life. With your extra £800, (providing it hits £6/share) will give you an additional £3K per year. So, 200K or 203K, not much difference is there?

Not really any of my business, but it just puzzles me that's all.

The other thing is, if there was an RNS announcing J Chiplin had just invested £800, there would be some raised eyebrows here wouldn't there? ATB

C7, apologies, as you know I would never mock anyone who could only afford £800 or even £80. The point is if he has 675K, this amount is irrelevant.

I'm afraid the chief mocker here is not me. Mocking me about putting a big buy into VAL. Where did that come from. My last buy was a year ago 60K into SCLP @10.04 as reported already.

Ray, we were discussing whether the GC might be a distraction. We can argue all day how much of a distraction it is but the fact is IT IS. You can spin it and sugar coat it all you want, you can't change the fact.

So Prof Durrant does some research and then at some point (what?) "hands it over" to Sally Adams for clinical. You think that's it?
Do you not think as CSO of Scancell and a board member she would want regular updates? Do you not think there may be issues, questions in the trial that would benefit from or indeed require input from Prof Durrant?

And if you are thinking "well this wouldn't take long" you have failed to grasp the impact of "distractions" on people who's primary function is intellectual thought.

Please, get the blinkers off.
