Your comment about academics sticking to research rather than being company executives can be argued two ways...

Yes, prof Durrant is an academic and produces many academic papers. It is a great disappointment to many that she refuses to join Scancell full time and continues in her dual role at Nottingham university.

On the other hand, much of the Result of research of Nottingham university has been acquired by Scancell.
In terms of PR, prof Durrant is the best executive we have - by a long chalk!

I think understanding the probable success in humans based on trials in mice is very important. Otherwise we could assume they have no relevance and wait for the human trials to start.

Thanks, I had found several companies who produce transgenic mice including this one.
The link Inan posted this morning was a paper produced in 2007 suggesting that CD4 could destroy tumours. They used three different sorts of mice. My question was whether these related to the mice used by Scancell in the MODI1 preclinical research. Inan has suggested it was only one type used by Scancell. Is this like one of the three used in the 2007 research?

Yes, I thought producing mice was a specialised undertaking which is why I questioned the claim that Scancell have produced their own. Was it just one type that they specified? Was it of a type they knew would be successful with MODI1?

Sorry, but you don’t conduct clinical trials with science you conduct them with products as in the “great products” that come from “great science”

I DO appreciate the cutting edge science of Scancell
I am as appalled as you at the poor results in cancer treatment despite the billions invested
I agree, Scancell have done a lot with the relatively small funds raised to date.

In order to progress the science and products, far more money will be needed.

As an investor, surely I am entitled to an an update from the company itself rather than the speculation of a fellow investor?

Whether it’s an accurate assessment or not I don’t know, but to me it’s not doom mongering. If we believe the Scancell story, why should we care if someone doesn’t and wants to dispose of a few?

I have done some more digging. On AIM it seems that once you have reached the notifiable threshold, ALL further dealings have to be reported irrespective of size and whether or not it crosses a threshold.
I’m not an expert on this topic (unlike Maths lol!) so happy to be corrected.

Vulpes still have their original 17% so no threshold has been reached or breeched that would require an RNS.
