Among the priorities for domestic industry and the economy in general, Havlíček also listed supporting the country's self-sufficiency in mineral mining as a key one. He specifically mentioned the start of lithium mining.

The company Geomet has been exploring the reserves at Cínovec for many years, and in 2020, when the ANO movement was in government, ČEZ became its majority shareholder. The mining project has since then been in the preparation and return calculation stage. According to Havlíček, however, everything necessary, such as logistics, a place to process the mineral, and the like, has already been resolved, and he therefore wants to "finish what our government started".

Many affected municipalities, authorities and authorized investors according to the Building Act had to express their opinions. The approval process is still ongoing in the background and in my opinion we are approaching the final stage, the last changes took place on 1.10.2025.

The second investor is C-Tech, which has opened its first European branch in our country – C-Tech Czech (yes, this time no one is hiding the name of our country). The company supplies lithium-ion and lithium-polymer batteries to many world brands (for example, Acer, HP or LG). And what will it be about? We can look forward to a factory for the production of battery modules and entire systems, which will find application not only in computers, but also, for example, in electric vehicles, various backup power sources and data centers. Factories could grow in the Ústí nad Labem and Karlovy Vary regions, but everything is still under negotiation.

Geomet has therefore signed contracts with future options to acquire all the necessary plots of land in the Dukla area for a total value of 966 million crowns.
