The idiocy continues, we are now importing twice as much coal; circa 560,000 tonnes came into British ports last month compared to circa 292,000 in October 2021 - because of rising cost of gas. ''The increasing use of coal generated poweer in the UK comes after years of shifting to cleaner electricity from gas firedpower plants and renewables, but is deemed vital as Putin crimps gas supplies to Europe. The UK is paying a high price literally as well as metaphorically for a few potential micro earthquakes. Come on Rishi give your head a shake!
