The only people making any cash from these markets are the pro shorters and MMs, the short term traders who usually have no idea the history or quality of the stocks they buy and sell willy nilly muddy the waters and allow unconscionable trading to go on under the radar ,in my opinion.

We need a plentiful and guaranteed energy supply to carry our standard of living and improve productivity. How are all the raw materials neccesary to produce wind turbines nuclear reactor vessels ,pipework ,earth moving equipment ,thousands of tonnes of concrete,road surfaceing products,infra- structure for electric cars etc etc. made. Iknow lets build a wind turbine from lego bricks and mechano bits ,thats a start. doh

There must be lots of brown envelopes being delivered at the moment,the answer to the U K financial and energy supply stability is beneath our feet. Never mind l ets all dance around the nuclear fission reactor building sites for ten to twelve years to keep warm,with the added bonus that there will be no need for street lighting ,the glow from the nuclear waste will be enough. Don't worry the economy will shrink to third world status but we will be able to shout from the rooftops that we are 100% green,unfortunately it will be drown out by the rest of the world laughing at us.

i would definitely vote for the bod to be paid in shares rather than cash.

Looks like there will be power cuts this winter because of a lack of gas,plenty of hot air though from the greens.Wonder where there is a potential gas supply?

Can anyone remember when small personal investors banded together and thwarted a smart arris company specialising in shorting .The company lost millions and the humble pi actually came out on top. The cityboys (US) didn't like it one bit and thought it unfare. Shorting is turning a drama into a crisis at the moment on UK STOCKS. There should be temporary hiatus on shorting at the moment. This of course will never happen, too much money/ power and influence involved.
