Yeah....still it gives us time to stop and smell the roses ha ha. I love those old musicals...and that is a great song!
This is becoming quite a lottery to see whose posts have been consigned to the scrap heap. I don't think I've ever written a controversial post in my history here but note that most of my entries from yesterday have disappeared...and I was quite pleased with one of them ha ha. Now all those who didn't get to read my wise and thought-provoking comments will have lost out forever....how sad is that??? (just to clarify...I am only teasing admin..) No news today then? Ah well....we'd all better buckle down to our day jobs 'cos it don't look like we're gonna 'sail up the avenue' anytime soon. (Easter Parade).
read about the death of Sir Patrick Moore.... I loved the Sky at Night when I was a youngster. Hope he's with his fiance who was killed in the WWII and all his beloved cats.... Like many scientists (particularly physicists) he believed in an afterlife.... RIP Sir Patrick.
Where is it being held? I would love to meet you all (and hopefully will one day when we're all rubbing shoulders with the rich and famous) but my animals here keep me very much grounded...and with my husband working away so much, it doesn't give me a lot of freedom. Be sure to invite thegal though.....I'm sure he would ensure that the evening ended up in a good ol' bar room punch-up!!!
re thegal.....could he have been something to do with those 'tight' zones' they found?
after imbibing afore-mentioned copious amounts of barley wine your conduct should trigger all the traditional family in-fighting and arguments but happily, you will be anaethetised to all this and won't realise that Christmas has passed until the New Year. Happy Christmas!!!
...sorry
after all, who's business is it anyway how individuals seeks to spend their own money? These 'so-called' knights in shining armour who are so desperate to save us from ourselves, should perhaps give up the good fight and leave us to our fate. I think we have received their messages loud and clear and it is time they found another crusade to concentrate their efforts on. This one is lost chaps.
answer to Shylock. Can't find BM's Q & A's from 16th November but I do remember him being very emphatic about continuing to investigate EB1 before progressing to EB2. He more or less ruled out any possibility of abandoning EB1 before thoroughly appraising it....the implication being that there was every reason to continue with the assessment before going on to (perhaps) greater things.
Thank you....yes, it is a fair distance, particularly at this time of the year and in this weather!!! Further for you near Norwich than for me closer to Kings Lynn. Smarts: Awww thanks. I hope you're feeling a little less raw than you were last week. I have been thinking about you.
Yes thank you. I've just had lots to do and my brother's in hospital again (Addenbrookes) so a bit of extra curricular to get through. I didn't think we would have anything to jump around for yet....but hopefully it won't be too long now.
Not been around for a few days because of other pressures but how we doing? Any news yet? One week into December so Bryan must be feeling a little pressured himself right now if he is sensitive to the feelings of the shareholders. He did say that the ADR's would be a priority during this pause in operations and that they would seek to resume the workover earlier rather than later (late November/early December). If Bryan wants to keep us happy and on-board (which I know most of us are intent on doing) he needs to keep us updated on the state of play. I think this stock even more than most, because of its chequered history, needs to do that...otherwise the derampers will seize on the negatives and have a party. Regrettably, Bryan became a little de-railed from the course he had plotted because of the need to quash the libellous allegations certain persons had made against him and the company. This must have taken up a chunk of his time that he would otherwise have been able to put to better use ....but I'm very pleased that he did slap a court order on them.. However, he now needs to concentrate on delivering what he promised....and in the time-frame that he promised. So Bryan, the ADR's please and at least something about the resumption of operations. Even the name of the operating partner would be enough to keep us happy. We're not kids...we understand that Christmas gets in the way of business...but YOU mentioned the time frame and if we hear nothing in the next week or so, you will risk losing a little more credibility. And that would be a pity. C'mon Bwyaaaaaaaaaaaaaan!
they all receive a nice stiff fine - they might think twice about making false allegations about persons or companies in the future. But the one I want to see receive the biggest fine is TW. What's the betting he didn't packet a small fortune following his comments.....
MTFW - I wish everything wasn't so damned expensive....and that I wasn't such an idiot!!
boasted on iii before its demise that they had managed to scoop 3.5K for £850 on the day of the RNS!!
have bought some of these cheap shares..... I still hold my measly 3,500 bought at £15K. Can't see me being able to find any spare funds to purchase now until they have gone up... Hold the front page!!!!
No, I always try to give them good quality hypoallergenic foods..... but they don't always like them ha ha I once saw a cartoon of a cat with its eyes closed 'looking' down at its dish in a very sniffy way...and the caption read... 'he could tell a cheap label with his eyes shut' Never a more true word....
Thanks for that... I hadn't heard it before.
be on the increase these days....and is incredibly painful. I've nursed a dog through pancreatitis (a lovely, lovely Goldie...but as far as I know there was no kidney damage). It came on so suddenly! He was absolutely fine until the evening when he didn't want his dinner (which for a Retriever is unheard of...) Later that night he wanted to go out and just sat in the garden (it was November and cold). I coaxed him in and tried to make him comfortable but he was not himself at all. The next morning I took him to the vet who gave me some anti-biotics but did wonder whether he could be suffering from acute pancreatitis. Anyway, the upshot is that he became even more withdrawn, was vomiting bile and was back at the vets the following morning...where he stayed for a week. The pancreas is difficult to study, even with Xrays but all the tests confirmed the diagnosis and apart from the possibility that he might have had a tumour on the pancreas, it was just a question of taking the conventional route. Fortunately, he survived but many don't. When he came home he was on about six pills a day (I made a chart so that I didn't forget them) but from that day forth he could never enjoy the treats he used to have and had to be put on a Hills special diet (duck and rice). Since then, I've heard of many dogs that have developed pancreatitis and yet it was not all that common years ago (according to the vets). I think it is the commercial food that we give them these days.... The trouble is we're all so busy that preparing their food individually takes so long but I have been doing it for the dog I have with allergies...and it can be fitted into a routine. But there are some other good brands out there too. Rigs recommended a company to me which I will email you about. The food is expensive but nothing compares to a vet's bill!!! Poor little Ginger Nut. She's running in those sweet-scented meadows now...
Oh no hun!! I'm so sorry. You were only talking about her last week. Was it a sudden illness or were you expecting it at some time? For what its worth I believe in an afterlife for animals. I have studied everything there is out there regarding evidence for this and have spoken to many, many people on the subject because of the work I do... and have come down firmly on the side that there is something beyond this life and that we will be re-united with our beloved pets one day...the only difference being that when that joyful day dawns, we know that we will never have to say goodbye again. Try to hold on to this thought hun....it might give you some comfort. There are so many people who have seen or experienced inexplicable 'visitations' from their cherished pets that to deny such a possibility would be foolish....and many of these people are highly educated working in the field of science or engineering or veterinary science or law etc etc - the list is endless. They are not 'new-agey'. I wouldn't believe this if I hadn't researched it very thoroughly because to hang on to something simply because it is what I wanted to believe would be delusional and worthless. But the evidence is overwhelming.... (having said that I've never experienced anything myself even though I have often needed to...but my hubs has...and he's an engineer and is not one bit 'airy fairy'. My thoughts are with you. R.I.P. Ginger Nut. She will always be with you.
