The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring financial educator and author Jared Dillian has been released. Listen here.
We are over half-way thru Feb now so results shouldn't be far off now. We were told they would be reported in February were we not? Hopefully all the info will be available to coincide with the new website and should set us up nicely for our rapid move northwards! Bring on those results! `
Hold tight. I've posted this several times before but several months ago just before the licence was due to be issued I bought into this share but could only place my trade at 0.1p. I purchased a million at that price and until just before Christmas I was down about £5.5K. Hardly anyone frequented this discussion board and it felt quite a lonely place to be. But the ingredients were all there...the gold, the expertise, the geography, even the capital once they had raised the money. The only thing missing was the website ha ha (still is...) I really did not think the sp would regain its momentum for about a year and determined to sit my loss out. However, after such positive RNS's at the end of last year etc, suddenly the sp shot up (and it flies very quickly) and I have been in profit again ever since.... until now. But this is a tricky time (CMC etc - most shares are down a bit on the AIM) and until the news re samples, etc, we are just another share waiting for a confirmation of value. But I have never forgotten the original report viz world class grade gold and I really do think that the results will make this uncertain waiting time very worthwhile. Best wishes and good luck everyone
Yes, and that, when I bought in originally was my only real concern. I wasn't sure that the company would be able to raise the cash but they did and I really don't have any worries now with this company. I have absolute faith in the mine ('world class' was quoted in original report - to be confirmed obviously) so once we receive the results etc this month and the new website is up and running I think we will be coasting.
Just browsing through your conversation with Adam from last week and the comment which made the most impact on me was when he remarked that they were 'incredibly fortunate to acquire the licence' To me it seems unlikely that anyone would make such a statement unless they had turned up really good results (which they must have a good idea of by now) and feel that the mine and licence could so easily have been grabbed by another company. Just my thoughts. Best wishes and goodnight.
I see our little embryo has fallen back a few days but not to worry, this will recover and grow into the wonderful golden star it always promised to be.... I don't think we will hear much until the middle to end of Feb but the news will be good, I'm certain of it. Thanks Akel for e-mailing the directors...am pleased to hear that they have a website in the tunnel...I guess they have been waiting until they can plaster all the good news all over it!!! ha ha. Stay chilled everyone. Best wishes and good luck
It was arab and it was a brilliant post. One of the reasons I bought into this share was because ot the mine's intriguing history. Well everything you need to know about this mine is in arab's post. I had found out a lot but my knowledge was nothing compared to this guy's. Good luck everyone. Am looking forward to seeing the new website.
I cannot imagine how MVC can continue to operate as an AIM listed company without a professional website. Such a presence on the Internet is after all, de rigueur these days. Even two-bit companies have websites. Initially, I thought they would update it as soon as everything kicked off but that was some time ago now and still they have the medics on their home page. Do you think they have received any e-mails about this? As others have said, surely more punters would be interested in investing if they just took the trouble to create a new website. It just doesn't inspire confidence does it? I'm really excited by this company but hey, even I could prepare them a website!!!! Looking forward to the results this month. Best wishes everyone.
has everything...history, romance and filthy lucre! Love it!!!
...that is absolutely fascinating. Well done to whoever originally posted it. Might top up with some more shares on Monday. Brilliant post.
I bought in here just as MVC had concluded the deal with Oregon and were on the brink of obtaining licence (which had to be re-applied for if I remember rightly) and I paid 1p for each of my 1 million shares! It was the lowest I could get in at.... Immediately the share retraced to less than 50p...somewhere in the 40's... and for several months I was showing almost a 60 per cent deficit on my p.f. Hardly anyone frequented this discussion board and I honestly didn't expect to re-gain my losses for at least a year even though I had confidence in the company succeeding with this mine. I have been blown away with this sudden increase in MVC (following some very positive RNS's) and am very happy with the situation thus far. I don't think you will see this decrease to the levels it was a few weeks ago again...and if the speculation is correct, from Feb there is only one way that this share can now go and that is northwards. Good luck with whatever you decide. Best wishes.
Thanks for words of comfort... For some reason however, I don't lose sleep at night over my shares...I think I must be the eternal optimist. I was convinced that this share would come good in the end...just not so sure that I would live to see it ha ha. I've always taken the view that if my savings were secreted in a bank I would not be checking on the interest accrued each day so for the same reason I don't particularly worry about the daily fluctuations of my shares even though I have bought some real dogs (no offence to our lovely canine friends btw) in the past. 2p would be wonderful. And yes, I agree that it might be a good idea to try to average down now. I wasn't so keen before because I didn't have as much confidence in the company but it really is starting to look much brighter now. Haven't checked their website lately. It would defo make the co look more professional if they updated it. Thank you again and good luck to you too. Best wishes
I bought some time ago soon after MVC acquired interest in mine and just before they were granted the licence. Thought it would have risen sharply on confirmation of that news but my buy-in price of 1p remained static. I couldn't place my trade until the price hit 1p but of course by that time it was starting to fall as everyone took out their profits. So, my 1,151,000 shares have shown a massive loss ever since doh! (nearly 60pc) Am happy with the news we've received since however, and although I knew this share was a risk, I was intrigued by the mine's history, 'world class' prospects and the fact that the company intended to bring it to production within three years. Plus all the possibilities in the surrounding area and sited in Serbia ensures reasonable stability so all in all a good punt.
Down a tad today but only to be expected. I reckon a lot of people got burned (like moi) when it soared so quickly on licence grant and have now taken out their profits. But obv this counteracted by the big stakebuilders coming in... I'm resigned to not selling my shares for at least 18 months (if they last that long ha ha...more confident they will now). Anyone care to stick their neck on the line and hazard a guess at what the potential sp might be by this time next year if all goes according to plan. Good luck everyone....I'm so happy this isn't causing such a big hole in my pf now....still a hole but closing up nicely. I think the patient will survive.
Just looked in on this for first time in a few weeks and am amazed!! What has happened? (apart from the price soaring of course) There was a time when it seemed that there were only about three people who ever looked in on this board (Casper took it over occasionally just to add to its ghostly presence) but MVC suddenly seems to have taken off. I bought 1 million of these at a 1p and I honestly thought it would be a year before I saw any improvement in the sp. I cannot believe this rise....I might just be evens by the end of Jan. Whoopee! C'mon MVC. Have they updated their website yet?
If all goes according to plan they aim to have the mine in production in about 3 years.
take to reach 1p which is what I paid when I bought in ha ha. I'm soooo pleased to see some activity on this board at last. There was a time a couple of weeks back when it was a party if just one poster was on here. I bought 1 million of these little babies but was 50 pc down within two days or so!! Good to see some positivity here. Keep it up guys. Best wishes.
Just hanging out here like a vampire (a veggie vampire ha ha) in the wee small hours and checked back over some of MVC's recent company info. Apparently Phase 1 commenced during late October so they must have been working on that for almost a month now. Does anyone have any idea how long such work would normally take to complete? It must be almost impossible to work in the mountains of Serbia during the freezing winter months but then again what the heck do I know? Anyone care to comment?
All I can say is ditto ditto ditto If it goes according to plan however, I shall be one very happy bunny ha ha. Best wishes
Good to see ya...I've only just logged in today and MVC is always the last share I look at 'cos I'm in even more deficit with this share than with any of the others I hold..... which says it all really ha ha. I'm too impulsive to be a good trader. I agree the sp does seem to be holding steady at this price but they inferred after confirmation of the license transfer, that they would be undergoing some preliminary drilling fairly early. I should have thought that would be underway by now. However, it is pretty bleak during the winter months in that part of the world so I'm not sure whether the weather conditions could influence how much they can achieve at this time. Anyone else have any ideas? ATB
