The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring financial educator and author Jared Dillian has been released. Listen here.
Welcome back hun...... Mine are all at HRH's pile at Sandringham. I re-located them. If you're out late on a moonlit night, you might just glimpse one wearing a diamond tiara or hear the tinkling of a champagne glass... They cross the path if they see me coming now....I'm far too downmarket for them...
They're just unpleasant individuals. I'm afraid these bbs are littered with them. The author William Golding who wrote Lord of the Flies, was staggered by the observations he made regarding human behaviour during his Naval career in the Second World War. He couldn't believe that people who had received an education in a civilised country could behave so badly towards each other. These were not savages from a primitive society. So why look for any other reason..... Some people just rejoice in other people's misfortune and are inherently nasty.... Sad but true
Interesting reading back over some of this morning's posts. I agree with both sides of the 'blame' argument. I agree that the constant de-ramping from some posters would have been enough to deter many investors from this stock, particularly given its 'colourful' history. The campaign they fought was relentless and unremitting. It was a disgrace. But the real offender in my opinion was Tom Winnifrith because his articles attract a lot of attention....and he probably doesn't give a damn about fines or whatever because he makes more in revenue than those could possibly cost him. Let's hope that the legal action includes him....and that the fine is a very heavy one!!! I seem to remember Nostra Terra taking out similar action last year after a long campaign of savage postings by uninvested people. So this is by no means a first. Hopefully, such actions will help to tidy up the Internet. It has become quite a playing field for the nastier sector of society. But I also think that BM is being a little disingenuous if he believes that the reason for the catastrophic fall in the sp was entirely due to these de-rampers. If that was the case, why hadn't we seen a fall before? They've been around for ages. Most of the blame for the fall in the sp was because of the way the news in the RNS was presented. It was a good RNS but from the start it was written from the premise that disappointing news was to follow. And this triggered a selling panic by a few but immediately the sp plummeted out of control on the GXG. The ugliness that ensued from all the de-rampers was nothing short of schadenfreude! I never cease to be amazed at the unpleasantness that is often to be found in human nature .... But, hopefully this will be a lesson to both BM and the perpetrators alike. BM has already stepped up to the mark and is seeking legal redress. He is now aware of this bb too so with luck he will dip into it now and again and might even have read some of our remarks concerning the RNS. He is an intelligent man so I'm sure will do better next time. Good luck everyone
monitored quite closely now. A couple of the posts made a short while ago have disappeared. Best to filter anyone hellbent on antagonizing us in case LSE pull this bb too.
No, we have 380ft with a minimum of 150 npz...not quite the same as RMP. I was burned there too
How you? Haven't seen you for ages. Well, not since I gave up with WET. Are you still in? I served my time in the toxic wetlands ha ha. I never did make my money up there... Lost a bloomin fortune but I always thought we would succeed in the end. But even I had to concede defeat eventually. The regulars on the bb made it all bearable though....... Good to see Chevy back in the fold. Do you remember his last day prior to being banned when he took us all on that imaginary trip to Jersey Zoo to celebrate WET winning the SA water remediation contracts?.....Philips looking for his baseball bat an' all. That made me laugh so much.... Sorry to be O/T everyone
Wass happened? What was in the RNS? Only just logged in for today....
Thanks hun....but you'll be back in by then...
if ya find yourself looking for a good home for any more of ya shares....please think of me. Home visits are welcome... I would be a very caring owner. 'A share's not just for Christmas....' I thank yaw.
coincidence of course, but the sp has really rallied since we blocked the trolls...
I'm good thanks old friend....I've been really busy over the last few days (but the rewards wont come in time for me to load up on cheap shares...doh!) but have caught up a bit today. I've ordered one of those bags of Green food you recommended for my poor little babe so will keep you posted....and thanks so much for that. (thanks to your wife too) (I've been cooking all her food since April so have made sure that she only eats food that won't cause here any probs (yeast allergens for example) but it hasn't improved her. This could have more to do with my culinary skills however, rather than anything else. She is my biggest fan though....wolfs everything down ha ha. Was even gonna ask for a yoghurt maker for Christmas 'cos I've been buying her so many...!!
''The broadcast talks about possible large oil accumulations in Nevada. Our results are confirming that. So we don't see a problem there."
Filter the trolls - I have only just come back to the bb after filtering them a while ago and I cannot believe how much more pleasant it all looks. Let them talk to each other...I've no malice towards them...but they are a cloud on our horizon and are incompatible with our thinking. We are all in the same club...they are not!
BM has stated that we have enough reserves of cash to complete the next testing stage of EB1. At the present time he is only interested in EB1. We were fully funded for three drills: EB1, EB2 and EB3. I'm sure the testing has been expensive and taken longer than anticipated but BM clearly stated that there were enough funds to complete this appraisal well. After that he was a little ambiguous because in the video with Jeremy Naylor he gave the impression that once the workover was complete on EB1 they would move to EB2 but said that they would need to look at the reserves and re-assess when that time came....he didn't imply however, that we would need to raise any additional cash. But later in the day when engaging in the Q & A's he quite clearly stated that they would have enough cash to fund the drill of EB2 as well. Either way, it doesn't look too disastrous. I'm assuming now that EB3 is definitely no longer funded but who knows where we will be by the time that is scheduled? ATB
That's such a relief ha ha
In my opinion, from the way Bryan answered the questions and even in the RNS, he didn't give the impression that he is overly concerned about the kerogene content (although in some instances this would be a major worry - oil shale for example) but it's just the paraffin wax that is not altogether straightforward. But Nevadan oil has a propensity for containing wax so hopefully, they will be able to identify the best way of tackling the problem and get that baby flowing.....
Yeah.....he couldn't enjoy it though, being all screwed up an' all. Not like us lot ha ha...
the Fogl holders. It's been an awful year for most of the 'promising' oilies.
So true hun. We are looking to hear news re the resumption of testing at any time, I guess. I wonder who he will bring in....?
How we doing? Have been busy over the past couple of days but hope none of you flooded. Good to see us winching our way up again.....would have loved to buy more of these at those low prices but no spare funds unfortunately. Don't forget that Bryan has made some pretty extravagant claims regarding this drill: 'we have lots of oil' and 'the first oil discovery in Nevada in decades' He's gonna look pretty damn silly if these remarks don't pan out.....because they were not made before the RNS but after it...when he was in full knowledge of the situation thus far... That's it! (My contribution for the day).
