AS far as the US/EU is concerned it has to do with pride and justice.
They cannot stop the support only to let the tanks bulldoze through at this moment in time.
If military support was to end for UKR now it would be a send a wrong signal not only to other eastern bloc countries but to many NATO states .
So be it at a financial cost the west will carry on regardless.

And by the way the company as been rock solid financially all the way even before the war started.

so can anyone including you onlyonewhufc tell me why has the price dropped 80% in a couple of months if sanctions have no part to play in this and why are we all talking about peace and the ending of sanctions to start the SP moving north??

What serious effect is that going to have for us investors ??
Thats what I'd like to know and how is it going to effect the SP in the medium to long term.
We have heard this sort of headlines before and this has had no material effect for POLY.
What matters to POLY and others like POLY is the lifting of sanctions.
Nothing else is going to make this SP higher .
More land/cities that Russia occupies the harder the sanctions.
ITS draging it in the opposite way.

Whichever way we look at it . One thing is certain . That peace is the only solution to move forward in this saga and if we get the two sides together and get a deal than it will certainly boost our chances of a decent SP which reflects the true (or near enough) of both POG and POLY. IF we achieve this just on a peace deal is debate able
IMHO opinion I am not convinced just a peace deal will mean "business as usual"
The west will need assurances that this kind of attacks are not acceptable for the future.
And for that to be rubber stamped they might insist on more robust changes. I certainly hope for the sake of all serious investors here that we all hope for a quick return to "normal trading for ALL stocks (EVR,POLY and POG and EUA).
THe sad fact is we live in the real world and that is going to be difficult to achieve.

This is going to bob along at around 200-215 for some time as the geo-politcal considerations deepen.
Simultaneously this has the potential to exceed everyone's expectations within a matter of weeks or a couple of months.
I am holding firm (33K) and Pog (18K).
I see this as a long term venture. War or no war. These companies both have excellent management skills and solid financial fundamentals.
As I have said before loads of times this is a solid investment in the long term.
For those trying to make a killing forget it.

It will be interesting to see if the suspension of the divi makes the SP more bullish .
IMHO this is going to remain flat or drop a few percentage points in the short term

After the carnage we have seen on the media AND THE DESTRUCTION OF WHOLE FAMILIES AND THEIR PROPERTIES who would have ever thought that those people running away from such oppression were turning our cities into pigsties.
The mind boggles.

As for Nord stream I don't think it will be economically viable if supplies to the west are not required.
So I think overall this war has opened a VERY BIG CAN of worms.

You make a good point . I wasn't in the slightest comparing the ECONOMIC INTERDEPENDENCE of |the west of Zimbabwe against Russia. My reference to |Zimbabwe and the other countries was to highlight the fact that countries who have had economic sanctions have had to wait years to get them lifted.
This is why countries like Germany and Italy and others who are already in the process of securing future energy supplies are looking away from Russia and spending billions because they fully know the international community will want to keep those sanctions in place for as long as possible.

Global powerhouse or not. International laws apply. Resolutions passed apply.
The economy is already on the verge of bankruptcy within two months of starting a war nobody wanted.

Sanctions have never been lifted in months let alone years.
Cuba ,Iran and Syria as well as Zimbabwe are good examples.

Having read though a lot of posts here we can agree that most of us feel the war will end at some point in the near future.
If this will signal the ending of sanctions I doubt it very much.We can see already when VP took Crimea sanctions were imposed and those Sanctions remain in place to this date. This is a very similar if not a worse situation.
The west needs assurances that this kind of attacks in future do not happen and to this end they will have to make sure Russia does not use the lifting of these sanctions as a bargaining chip.
As for the SP I am now even more convinced that it will take a year (at least) for it to hit the 600-650 mark.This stock is resilient but it will take a fair bit of time to show any upward movement.
For those who are in this for the long term I would say it probably is the right thing and its best to invest long term.
For those in this to make a killing in the short to medium term I would say best of luck.
