Heardy i have got to be honest in saying I did have a laugh at your first post but if it’s true that James is a patrolman for the AA then give the guy a break please. This is just a punt for most of us but clearly it’s a lot more to him.

at the end of every trading day somebody is mopping up any available shares after hours?
Another couple of hundred thousand bought after close today.

With the greatest respect JamesBond if you are a disgruntled (ex?) employee then you are not going to give a balanced fair view on the Company are you? I do sympathise with I really do but the recent results released in Sept do not portray a Company that is struggling to survive. Time to let go mate and move on with your life. IMO.

The program Algorithm Software (or whatever you want to call it) that is running is trigger driven. Ie buys/sells/News etc
When it stagnates because there isn’t any of the above it will kick into life after a time period and do “something” to generate cash.
It has 2 choices :- take the price up or down. Simple.
Getting people to panic and sell is usually the preferred option and to trigger their stop losses.
Then back up to sell their I’ll gotten gains to more (or sometimes the same!) PIs. Been bitten so many times by this process and still non the wiser. Got me last week with RR ffs ha ha

As we all know ABC have been mopping up all available shares in the 28 range at every opportunity recently but didn’t bother when it dropped to 27 yesterday?
This IMO is because they are now not allowed because they now have insider information.

The link below is an old article from the guardian in August which still accurately describes our situation.
The only thing that has changed since then apart from only now having one potential PE firm in the running is a good set of results.
The important part is the following:-

“The shares jumped 13% to 28.2p on the news, which values the group at £175m, excluding debt.”

The good news therefore is that we are almost back at that level now so if there is no bid or it fails then (in theory!) not too far to fall.
Ok it will most probably go lower but should recover to 25ish quite quickly.

If there was lots of volume I would not have said anything but no volume and a drop is the program generating trades. Seen it so many times and fell for it!

The algorithm is specifically written to extract money from us PIs.
I call it “games” and you can call it what you want but this is a big game and you my friend along with me and everybody else here are the players being played.
My cards are on the table I have already said I have got absolutely no idea what is going to happen next and my “advice” is not based on the size of my holding it’s based on my (albeit little) experience!

No Lordy I’m not loaded just crazy! Can’t do balanced portfolios. Just under 200 invested in this now but I think it is a good investment. Only risky in the short term because if there is no bid then yes the price will inevitably drop which is a sickner because I could have bought more shares for the same £ but the future is bright for the AA IMO even if they go it alone. My only concern is trying to find the extra £ for the also inevitable RI !!

Hi Popeye thank you I wish you well also. Yes a large holding is a double edged sword isn’t it? It’s not possible to predict how low a share can go so at some point you have to “jump in” Each Penny is over 6 grand to me so I’m already 12 grand down ffs. Need balls of steel in this game. I only declared my position so nobody pays any significance to my large buy because I seriously haven’t got a clue what I am doing!! GLA.

Did buy another 58,000 though last week so that’s me now “all in” as they say.
