Spades, you didn't read it properly and obv missed out the key word "huge" in jumping to conclusion. Fact is that GGP is going to have to find near on $100m, which is a big ask for debt finance coming from a consortium of banks. $10m, $15m is neither here nor there, but $100m is a tall order.

As for loan payback, the HLA is split. Facility A $20m certainly has to be paid back out of the $60m. That leaves $40m. Of the $30m provided to take GGP up to BFS, lets say $20m has been drawn down to date.

That leaves the Co. with $10m + whatever cash remains from the placing. Still going to be needing to raise $80m. The offer to buy back the 5% for over $60m is indeed indicative that the Co. is not facing any kind of cash crisis. Can they get through to production and revenue early 2024?

NCM take their 5% UMV (Unfair Market Value) for just $60m. Most of that cash goes back to Newcrest in order to pay off the loan. Leaves GGP debt-free. But how are they going to continue to explore the 100%-owned licences + whatever is needed to bring Hav into production? Not sure that banks will be too keen on lending huge amounts based on gold in the ground.

What bothers me is a takeout on the cheap, which is maybe what JPM is betting their short on. Cant help thinking back a few years to Bullabulling and its multimillion oz resource. Unable to secure the necessary cash, the Co. got wiped out by Chinese-owned Norton Goldfields with a take it or leave it paltry offer. Could the same happen here?

Also, other than an updated MRE, what are we expecting from NCM later this week?

It all seems planned out. $20m was the Facility A loan, drawn down for PFS. The Facility B $30m takes us up to October`s FS. How much cash in? $60m from NCM + $10m from the placing + call it $3m from other sources (options/grant).

$50m NCM loan + $73m incoming gives a grand total of $123m. Seems a remarkable coincidence that capex is EXACTLY the same figure. Loan repayments from production instead of from the FMV cash, alternatively engaging the banks after FS completed.
