Hardolestation - the Forest/Cruse formation depths are different at different locations, the point is that these are not the formations that Cas-4 and Cas-5 are targeting, they are targeting deeper, high pressure formations. And yes you are drilling Cas-4, assuming the private placement money turns up (drilling Cas-4 was one of the reasons for the private placement).

It’s simple, they were shallower, replicable wells. Look at the TXP track record following the pivot to deeper, high pressure wells since 2019. Patchy, to say the least. Cas-4 could easily be the next disappointment. Then it really will all be about Central Block. Until that disappoints. There is a pattern of disappointment here and there is debt. Not a great combination.

This is not a popularity contest. I am sure it is cosy in the TXP rampers’ nest on Discord, but ultimately you are just helping each other lose money. That is not what friends do.

Google it. It is why the shine has gone right off TXP in recent years. The unpredictable / unreliable geology of Trinidad at depth is the elephant in the room here. Going deeper was going to be the company maker but it could yet be the company killer.

Sturm - I said “I did not lose anything on TXP.” I did not say “I have never owned any TXP.” I have lost money on plenty of shares (including the awful CERP) but not TXP. I have no axe to grind. Sorry if the facts don’t fit your narrative.

Sturm - just the other day. Not on here though. I did not lose anything on TXP. My issue was with the rampers who were misrepresenting its prospects to TRIN shareholders. When that deal was on the table I took a closer look at TXP and was appalled by the risks, which, of course, have since materialised.

What most irritates Johnoxxx and Sturm may be the suspicion that my simply sceptical posts will continue to age better than their efforts.

Sturm - “an average succesful Cascadura well” - you have got something there. What is the average boepd from the wells drilled in TXP’s Ortoire Era*? It is not a great average - the IPL is not calling and a lot of debt has been accumulated. Paul Baay still only talks a good game. The Central Block Era needs to be a step change - the market already has doubts about Cas 4 and is only going to believe CB when it sees it. What will be the first CB delay or disappointment?

*Pre-Ortoire was probably TXP’s Reputation Era, in the sense that it still had one.

In fact John2727 and TheNavigstor are just being honest about what TXP need to show the market for some kind of upside here. Rampers like you and Johnoxxx still think you can take Paul Baay’s aspirations to the bank, which is why you cannot understand the current share price and react so aggressively to scepticism. But the market lost patience with Baay long ago. He needs to deliver concrete progress and the debt means that he needs to deliver it with some alacrity.

Sturm - I was very lucky to see the way TRIN was going. Similar factors are at play here. You should have a look at the TRIN story. Shallow onshore Trinidad worked reliably for them for a while but eventually it began to play out, they gambled on the unreliable geology at deeper levels and lost. The rampers on here just cannot see what a marginal proposition TXP has become. They are in denial about the unreliable geology, even as the evidence mounts up.

This is the point - will any of the geology they are working produce the consistency you are looking for?

Skeptics are just stupid, aren’t they? And yet you have been ramping TXP on here all the way down from three figures - it is all there in your posting history. We all invest in some real shockers in our travels - have a little humility.

“Hopefully” and “Maybe” sums it up. What happens in practice tends not to be the rosy scenario that Paul Baay described to shareholders.
