Whilst I agree patience is required, I have been invested since AFC floated.

Since then, I have fewer teeth, far less hair, more wrinkles and 2 more grandchildren almost now at senior school.

Mind you, one positive is that I have nerves of steel, which is a must to still be invested.

I just hope AFC get orders before all those Funeral plans that drop through my door get even more interesting.

There are plenty of security issues surrounding such plants that the public know nothing about.

There are labs at the Hull University premises in Cottingham Road Hull, so that's probably where HiiRoc do their stuff.

As a side note..Its becoming more popular for R&D businesses to locate into university building, as you only have to research where many new tech/bio is evolving from in all areas including green technology/medicine/science ect.

Decided to have a look at their premises in Hull today.

Couldn't find anything referring to them on any of the new business/office complex situated at the HiiRoc address, so made enquiries at the Hull University innovations building.

The receptionist was new and had never heard of HiiRoc so made enquiries with a secretary who had been there since the building opened, she also has no knowledge..

At my behest they did a google check and were surprised when the address showed the same as the building we were in.

They then made further enquiries higher up the food chain and it appears that HiiRoc only use the premises as a registered business address.

I have posted this not because I have any suspicions re HiiRoc as I am aware they, like many companies use addresses solely for business registration, and that they are connected to Hull University, but because earlier I had posted that I would keep a watching brief to see if there was any indication of AFC, perhaps a couple of EV chargers (in the future of course).

I must add that the premises car park, has the biggest percentage of EV charges I have yet to see in any car park, unfortunately these were installed pre the AFC/HiiRoc tie up.

The site is still expanding and it would be good to see any future EV charges bearing the AFC logo.

If clearance work has to be undertaken during the nesting season, a breeding bird
survey needs to be carried out by a suitably qualified person. As a general rule, it
should be assumed that birds will be nesting in trees, scrub, reeds or substantial ditch
side vegetation during the core breeding period, .......(Unless a survey had shown this not to
be the case)...................... In addition, some species are ground nesting, such as the skylark and
lapwing, both of which can occur on grassland areas and cleared sites where there is a
time lapse between demolition and development.

I doubt very much that any birds will make their nests in an area where presumably very noisy building preparation work has/is being carried out (see photographs previously posted), so I would think that an inspection by an authorised person would be sufficient for any still required work to be done is almost a forgone conclusion.

What often bothers me is being left in a news void when there is no need.

Take Rolec for example, being discussed on here many times over the last few days.

Surely if AFC were no longer connected to Rolec this is sp effecting, so by definition a RNS should be released.

If they are still connected, a confirming RNS is also warranted, as that would also effect the SP.

As often we the shareholders are left feeling like mushrooms, a bit of clarity is not much to ask.

Agreed, but as the batteries have to receive there power input from somewhere, hydrogen/ammonia is the great movers in where the power input comes from.

Read a report in last Saturdays Telegraph of how the number of 2 or more car family has increased over the years, these families owning both a smaller lower powered run around plus a larger, more substantially powered car, mainly of course in the cities or bore urban areas.

The article was pushing your point re these families, moving onto a shorter range car (EV) and a longer range car (HEV).

Whichever way it goes, AFC with their EV charger and fuel cell, it's a win win.

Re Jim Gibson On stage today....at least he has a microphone.

Perhaps a megaphone would have been a better choice as it looks like most of the audience were not interested, but of course they could have been so interested that they were eager to discuss the concept between each other or/and notify none attendees via IT of what was happening.

Must agree that Gibson did look scruffy and before others point out (quite rightly) that it is the concept/technology people came to see, first impressions count.

No not at all Newboy 58, I took it that the posts were pushing PHE to get directly involved. or as partner re the cleaning up.

I have no problem with suggestions re removing this plastic island, in fact I am all for it, it is just that i do not feel PHE are as yet in a position to do so.
