Nasal spray works, or does it????19 Nov 2020 10:29
Not in any way a scientist or chemist but I find what I have just read unbelievable.
A nasal spray that according to a report can give protection from Covid for up to 48 hours.
It goes on to say that using the spray 4 times a day would be enough for general protection, if so surely that sort of negates the first claim.
Its supposed to work by catching the virus in the nose by encapsulating it in a viscous coating from which it can not escape, meaning the virus is inactive on breathing into the lungs or/and out through the nose, again surely if it encapsulates the virus the virus can not be breathed further in or out, IE encapsulate meaning enclose (something) in or as if in a capsule, enclose, encase, contain, confine, envelop, enfold, sheath, so how can it be breathed out.
Also as any virus that is breathed out of the mouth, as most people breath plus whilst talking (try talking whilst not breathing out through the mouth) would not be encapsulated, how they come up with a report that is looking to say as they do that, 'The spray we have formulated, delivers protection but can also prevent the virus being passed from person to person', is beyond me.
I posted this just as one example of what some people might just read and believe.
Draw your own conclusion.
