How long are we talking wellintervention? Because all I’ve seen is unprecedented oil and gas prices for the last year, huge reduction in debt, share buy backs and a share price that was lower than All time highs even at 40% tax rates? And those all time highs were 25p pmo old money.
At what point do you stop saying ‘patience required’ and start asking what’s really going on here?
The market knows that by the time the hedges unwind a deep recession will be taking hold and hbr will not get to lock in current high prices, they need unhedged production now that they can lock in at these prices long term.

Shorts are not good stop with that BS. You only get a short squeeze if they want to close their position, if they are extending their position at these levels they clearly don’t have any intention on closing.
They are shorting whatever shares get bought back

Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak said on Sunday the move by the West was a gross interference which contradicted the rules of free trade and would destabilise global energy markets by triggering a shortage of supply.
