RE: Common sense returning12 Feb 2021 08:56
We've been doing stuff for years. Double glazing, catalytic converters, wall, floor and roof insulation, grading of fridges & boilers etc. Just look at the building regs and what the requirements are for a car to be on the road. Alchemy has been going on since the middle ages yet people refuse to believe that base metals cannot be turned into gold. Carry on believing it chilting.
I was involved in this stuff for years and it is a litany of throwing money at the problem with little result. The nanny state is in our ear all the time. Of course I believe in a cleaner world but it is still better to be born in this century than any of the last.
Since the fuel-price protests of 2000, no British chancellor has dared to reimpose the fuel price escalator tells us something about what happens when ideology encounters public resistance in a democracy. And people think the US will behave differently because Biden is in charge? Don't make me laugh. The article by Goehring & Rozencwajg says much more than I can and is backed by detail and logic.
You're a broken record chilting. Maybe you struggle with the difference between ignorance and apathy. You are not alone.
Most people don't know and don't care. Can you carry on your crusade on the right message boards where you are actually invested. END
