Linkedin post from IDEX yesterday, regarding the partnership agreement signing for the Limoges project,
"On the occasion of the Mayors and Local Authorities Show , Benjamin Fremaux was present to represent IDEX during the signing of a partnership agreement, alongside Guillaume Guérin - Limoges Métropole , Laurence Poirier-Dietz - GRDF and David Le Saint - EQTEC plc , aiming to develop a second generation biomethane production unit. As part of this agreement, GRDF undertakes to contribute to the financing of various studies to remove technological obstacles and help the development of the pyrogasification sector. At the initiative of Limoges Métropole , this project is developed by Idex in partnership with EQTEC plc . This innovative project has the potential to produce up to 100 GWh of biomethane per year, the equivalent of the annual consumption of 10,000 homes. How ? Biomethane will be produced by thermal treatment of dry biomass (forest biomass and wood waste) called pyrogasification and then injected into the GRDF natural gas distribution network . It will thus actively contribute to the decarbonization of the local and national energy system. Although no similar installation exists to date in France, the potential of this technology is considerable: according to projections, it could represent up to 40% of the supply of renewable gas in France by 2050. This agreement partnership is an important step in the realization of this ambitious project and in the emergence of a renewable sector of excellence in France. See you in 2024 for the allocation of specific support systems, as part of a call for projects supported by ADEME ! "

Is there anything you don't know visitinghost?
I just wonder why a brilliant person like yourself is wasting their valuable time posting here?
Thanks for your concern, visitinghost. I think you'd better get in touch with GRDF straight away, before they make a huge mistake....oh, and copy the French government on it too.
I look forward to you posting their replies here,
Many thanks

Surely understanding the difference between ÂŁ1 and 1p is fundamental to an investor.......?
..and while I'm here....
"If somebody ENTERS the investment at this stage it may be an interesting option, though the risk is high."
Do I detect a change of opinion visitinghost? Perhaps you managed to buy all the shares you wanted now?
On 6th June, you posted this....
"I hope you did not invest in EQT, since it will take a looooong way to recover if you did it 6 months ago, so long that it may never happen. Last month: -8,5%, last 6 months: -39% last 12 months: -77,3%, last 24 months: embarrassing, better not posting.
As I said, you can tell whatever you want to me, it is just a ad hominem argument, but the grim reality is that JVL cannot count therefore cannot make a realistic budget, DP is just squeezing as much money as he can and YA is a poor guy who thinks he knows gasification better than any other on this planet whereas any low grade south african engineer knows more than him and is able to gasify things better than him.
Summarizing: Their cash flows out of them (EQT Company and investors) like diarrhoea from the buffalo" (quote), their tech is not good as they claim, there are better options when you have the same feedstock input as for EQT tech and "wow Italy project" even if start today to produce 100% electricity will never repay the investment so far.
For the French case: well, the usual crap financed by the poor french taxpayers, following a line that the swedish plenty of tech and with the best tech available demonstrated is not profitable at all (see my previous posts on the wood to biomethane disaster in Sweden).
Call me anyway "HĂ€r whatever", but in my posts I put analysis and numbers and the reality is grim for EQT investors and getting worst day by day"
Did something happen to change your mind?
For a highly educated person, visitinghost, you really seem to be struggling with the UK monetary system....

Here's an article from today's Investors Chronicle that you might find interesting visitinghost....
Why energy majors are piling into 'biogas'
" âRenewable natural gasâ sounds like a misnomer at best, and a misleading marketing term at worst. But energy giants âalongside investors such as BlackRockâs real assets unit â are piling into the biogas, biomethane and biofuel space at pace. And given that the predicted increase in gas demand in the coming years is not matched by the forecast supply, renewable natural gas (RNG) is likely to become a bigger part of lower-carbon energy systems. According to Natalia Patterson, an analyst at consultancy Wood Mackenzie, renewable natural gas is currently just half a per cent of North American natural gas production â but its volumes could climb by 10 times by 2050."
"For biogas and biomethane, investment is rising due to the potential returns on offer: Jefferies analysts reckon bioenergy âundoubtedly has the highest expected returns [of the renewable space], running into the mid-teensâ, although they cautioned that this is reliant on government support. This suggests the space acts as a middle ground between high-return oil and gas projects and lower-return renewables, although bio options could also prolong the life of combustion technology, be it in cars or power generation."
"Direct investment opportunities in the space are limited on the London Stock Exchange. Eqtec (EQT) is a local company that has shifted its ambitions in the past two years, from building and running significant waste-to-energy and related bio plants to licensing its technology......."

I've posted the text of the article here as the link does not work for everyone https://my.hidrive.com/lnk/dHKgYTFv
"Today, the President and Vice-Presidents of Limoges MĂ©tropole exchanged with Benjamin Fremaux, President of Idex and David Palumbo, President of Eqtec.
The consortium of these two companies won the call for projects launched by Limoges MĂ©tropole to create a 2nd generation biomethane production unit, known as a pyrogasification unit.
Winner of a GRDF call for projects, this unit plans to produce 80 MWh of biomethane from dry biomass and solid waste. It would be one of the first units of this type in France."
