On the contrary Cavendish, there is zero probability that the financial close of the Italian plant will be delayed as it has already happened, back in June....
https://polaris.brighterir.com/public/eqtec/news/rns/story/wklyoyx
But I suspect you already know this as you mentioned it yourself...
"We announced to the market at the financial close of this transaction that we expected the plant to be fully recommissioned by Q2 2022."
Linked below is a presentation given by Greg Stangl (Phoenix Energy CEO) to the Board Meeting of the Upper Valley Waste Management Agency, Napa Valley, California in April 2021.
They are interested in installing a 1 MWe Biomass Gasification Facility at their Clover Flat Landfill site to process waste wood.

Presentation starts around 1:10:50
Napa should be quick to get to financial close once all the permits are in place,
"EQTEC representatives met with the project owners, who are part of a consortium put together by, and including, Phoenix and it was indicated that the project will be financed by the consortium using their own financial resources and it is not expected that external investment will be required to achieve financial close"
https://polaris.brighterir.com/public/eqtec/news/rns/story/w3387yw
Wilseyville is a community based project (like North Fork) and we know that,
"Technology due diligence has been completed successfully for a third project with Phoenix, in Wilseyville, California and has already received indicative non-binding terms for funding."
https://polaris.brighterir.com/public/eqtec/news/rns/story/xpp7yqx
I'm sure many lessons have been learned from North Fork and more robust financial arrangements will be in place for future projects in California.
Thanks for pointing out about the Drama project pacifico, you're right it was announced in October.
My list was just a list of defined projects announced by RNS.
It's not exactly clear to me what projects are included in EQTEC's 17 under development. Do they include the three under construction or not? They were shown separately in the presentation....Maybe my list is actually missing four projects compared to EQTEC's (or five if you don't include Biomasse 31!)
One possible missing project is a second one with Agrigas in Greece,
https://polaris.brighterir.com/public/eqtec/news/rns/story/xond93w
And maybe another two in California,
https://polaris.brighterir.com/public/eqtec/news/rns/story/x4818or
That's all I've got
I agree with everything you say pacifico.
I just wonder about,
Karlovo would be the only legacy plant of the three (Italy, Belisce, Karlovo) not operational and not under EQTEC control as an MDC. (Movialsa being very much operational and privately owned). Maybe it leaves a question mark over the technology to have a non-operational site?
DP, discussing MDCs in the interim results presentation, said they were targeting "two more by Q1 next year". One is almost certainly North Fork, could the other one be Karlovo?
The current MDCs are all heat and power, maybe Karlovo could be an opportunity to do something different....biofuels, hydrogen, SNG?
As always, more questions than answers. Time will tell
At the risk of boring you to death pacifico, and anyone else reading...
There's actually a bit more to the Karlovo story that I wasn't aware of until last night when I had another look into it....
Following quickly on from the change in legislation by the Bulgarian government, and EBIOSS modifying the two Karlovo plants to comply, the government made some further amendments to the legislation which made it almost impossible for EBIOSS to qualify for the special tariffs they needed for the electricity produced. So they decided on a change of direction for the Karlovo site.....
They announced a plan (26/07/2015) to use all the heat and power from the two 1.5MWe plants to run an expanded version of the existing pelleting plant on site. This would see them investing a further €4M (2015-2016) in a new pellet line for forest residue which would increase the capacity of the plant from 5-6 tonnes/h to 12-14 tonnes/h.
The reason being to export "high quality wood pellets" due to the high demand in Europe for pellets to generate energy in a cleaner way.
I haven't (yet) found any information to say that this additional investment was ever made or if this plan ever materialised. So I assume that if the pelleting plant isn't currently making pellets then the two 1.5MWe plants won't be working either. The satellite image I posted a link to yesterday doesn't show much happening so maybe the site really is dormant and just waiting for EQTEC to come along and make an offer....
It was bound to happen.....
*EQTEC still have a photo of Karlovac on their homepage
...should be Karlovo
I agree pacifico, the plant could be dormant/underutilised and waiting for EQTEC to come along and put an offer in.
Karlovo is an interesting site. It was intended to be EBIOSS's showpiece site (a Market Development Centre before the phase was coined) and covers some 20 acres. Originally planned be 2x5MWe plants with greenhouses on site to use the 'waste' heat, and the pelleting plant to supply it and future sites with straw pellet feedstock. Unfortunately, while the plant was under construction, the Bulgarian government changed the rules regarding the special electricity tariff payable for electricity from biomass and only made it available to much smaller plants. So, at some expense, EBIOSS had to reconfigure the set-up at Karlovo mid-construction, and it became 2x1.5MWe using a single gasifier for both plants. This obviously stopped all plans for further expansion in Bulgaria. (As an aside, the now surplus to requirements second gasifier and anciliaries were shipped to Newry in Northern Ireland, with the intention of updating the plant there. However, this update didn't take place and later, the gasifier and anciliaries were shipped to the US and installed at North Fork.)
We've not heard much about Bulgaria in recent times from EQTEC and I don't know what the current situation is regarding electrical tariffs, I assume it's different now and would be economically viable for EQTEC to do something there. EQTEC still have a photo of Karlovac on their homepage.....
The last mention of Bulgaria was in the Interim Results RNS on 28th Sept 2020,
"Collaboration with German EPC, ewerGy: Framework agreement completed with ewerGy for 13 potential new projects in the Balkan region (notably, Greece and Bulgaria), with exclusivity."
We await further developments (possibly)......
Yes, that's right pacifico, but I think it's onsite, not remote. If you look at the satellite view I linked in my previous post I believe it's the large rectangular building.
Some photos here, on the website of the electrical contractor who worked on it
https://www.elkontrol.com/en/projects/projects-chronology/finished-projects/456-warehouse-and-production-hull-at-pelletization-plant-biomass-distribution
EBIOSS built a pelleting plant (straw) there to supply the Karlovo gasifier and also other plants in the region which were planned. It cost 3.6M euros in 2016 and has a capacity of 6 tonnes per hour.
https://www.bmegrowth.es/docs/documentos/HechosRelev/2016/09/00025_HRelev_20160916.pdf
Morning pacifico, I've been trying to find out what the current situation is with Karlovo myself but without any success.
The satellite view from google maps doesn't exactly look like a hive of activity. No sign of any feedstock (straw) stacked up in the fields. Not sure how old the imagery is, says 2021 at the bottom of the screen?
https://goo.gl/maps/jbJvWrQTkQE8igsm8
Also, if you haven't seen it, there's a youtube video of Yoel Aleman giving a tour around the plant during construction. It's from the Ebioss days, around 2014. It's in Spanish so you may need to turn on subtitles and autotranslate, but worth watching.

A reminder of what DP said in the latest Proactive interview on 28th October,
"And one thing that is very interesting on Deeside as well, and the reason it is so appealing, we have a very, you know the market knows how extensive and how growing our pipeline is, but our pipeline is still mainly about thermal and electrical applications with probably 80%- 90% of the projects being thermal and electrical but now when you are looking at sites like Deeside, there is a genuine demand for biofuels, for hydrogen. There’s a real localised demand for being able for us to deploy alternatives beyond electrical and thermal. Like, for instance using the syngas to extract and produce hydrogen, or using the energy to power hydrogen electrolysers.
And another thing to mention is that we are seeing this also now in Billingham. The team, like our CTO, my COO and myself were yesterday in Billingham. We were visiting our neighbours in Billingham. It’s a very interesting industrial estate with huge industrial and chemicals partners that not only are they looking at how they can decarbonise the electricity that they're using, these are industries with very very heavy demand of electrical and thermal energy but now also we are opening discussions in all those sites about utilising the syngas as a fuel in some of the processes. Providing steam as well and also extracting methane or hydrogen from our syngas. That's going to be more and more important and relevant, there’s a lot of incentives in the government now, everyone knows from biofuels and renewable fuel incentives and all these companies that are in that space, they require the raw material that we produce which is a syngas, where we have, where we're able to control not only the quality but also produce a syngas to the specific specification of the specific process that the catalyser requires. So that's why this (Deeside) is very exciting. It has, in a single project, you have strategic partnership, you have great corporate offtake partners and you have an opportunity to do a multi-technology energy park."

Hello everyone,
During Cop26, Eqtec has already received a lot of attention but has so far released little official information or announcements. To sweeten the wait for the first post Cop26 news, there is an extra portion to read for the weekend. You can find the complete Eqtec link archive under the following link:
https://my.hidrive.com/share/4-d-n-4npd#$
First of all, of course, you should read and understand the disclaimer. And of course we are invested in Eqtec and interested in a rising share price. As I said: We do it for ourselves and let you participate at your own risk.
You already know the folder with the general links. The release of the _complete_ "Projects" folder is new, in which an overview can be found for the individual projects as you know it from the "Links" folder.
Have fun with it
The latest news we have about Wood is from the Q2 Trading Update in July,
"Wood and EQTEC collaborated on and completed gasification technology and market reviews in Q1 2021. Throughout Q2, the Company and Wood have explored opportunities for technology and other collaboration and have progressed discussions with a view to identifying and pursuing new capabilities and solutions for the global, waste-to-energy market. The Company looks forward to working together to identify and pursue future opportunities with Wood."
However, David Palumbo and Jeff Vander Linden are both speaking at Wood Group's event at COP 26 tomorrow morning, 8.30-12.00, 'Greenbackers Net-zero technology collaborations'
"Greenbackers and Wood focus on the challenge of developing and commercialising novel technologies that will support net-zero targets."
https://www.woodplc.com/cop26/agenda
So the relationship would still appear to be alive......
EQTEC have added a 3D video tour of the Southport Hybrid Energy Park site to their website,
https://eqtec.com/southport-hybrid-energy-park-project-southport-merseyside-uk/
Pacifico, I take your point about Biomasse 31 that there hasn't been any news about it for a long time but also nothing to say that it's not still a live project.
https://polaris.brighterir.com/public/eqtec/news/rns/story/rydk58r
However, there was an update about Napa and Wilseyville in April this year so I think they are still very much alive
