Unlike the lottery ticket buyer, you can still walk away with around £100k (assuming your average is 22p). Whatever you paid, it would be far better to walk away with something now rather than nothing, come the spring.

I bought GSK at £15.21 back in May - just for the 5% yield. It seems to be going from strength to strength. I could easily see it making a combined SP of >£20 after the split. It certainly seems to have worked for Pru/M&G, which I also own.

"Until the pull of the bonds" are the operative words here. I think the project will continue to completion, but I cannot envisage a realistic scenario that does not involve shareholders being wiped out. If you can see a profit from here, then good luck to you. Before the SP hits 0p, you might be able to make a few quid trading on fluctuations in the SP, but it's not a gamble I'm willing to take.

In a few months' time you might be wishing you were still hearing from them. A silenced BB means only one thing. (Ask former Debenhams, Flybe and Thomas Cook BB members.)

Haven't we seen "something big" with Breedon before (i.e. various acquisitions)? And yet, the SP is around the same level it was in Nov 2015 - without even a divi to show for it.

I have heard rumours within the trade that DSV Panalpina may be eyeing up an acquisition of Clipper, which would make a lot of sense, given that both companies have a large infrastructure in Europe. Hopefully they will make an offer us shareholders can't refuse - £5+ ?

Is it really surprising that the strategic review update has gone AWOL? How do you finesse the virtually inevitable - that the project will run out of money by spring 2020, then go into CVA/Admin and then go private (sans shareholders).

I got out during the recent (Brexit boost) uptick to 71p. Glad I did, as this share seems to be forever stuck in a cycle between 60-70p, with the occasional severe dip or bounce either side of this range. It may crawl above £1 in the next decade, but I'm not willing to wait that long, especially when I can get 5% pa in the FTSE 100.

Indeed, we may be looking at the last opportunities for PIs to get out around 3p. Further bad news will only compound the falls. The only realistic scenarios now are further dilution or CVA/admin to 0P. Why would any investor step in now, rather than wait to snap it up at a bargain basement price?

More good news for Capita.

The current falls are understandable, given the uncertainty surrounding the general election and Brexit. Recent events (and SP hitting almost £1.80) have, however, given us a snapshot of what will likely happen in the event of a Brexit deal. If, as seems likely, the Conservatives win the election convincingly, we can probably expect a return to £1.80. If the May/Boris withdrawal agreement is passed (which, again, seems likely) expect to see £1.80 - £2 in the new year.

If you didn't get out at 4p, best get out at 3p. Sadly, for PIs there is almost certainly no happy ending to this story: It's either dilution or CVA/Admin to 0p. Meanwhile, the project itself will probably continue to fruition, which is good news for the region and workforce.

Pru + M&G = A very nice rise (currently a combined price of £16.62). So much for the doom mongers who said a demerger at this stage could be a disaster.

My guess is that, after Friday's euphoria, we'll see a pretty hard 'correction' on opening tomorrow, followed by ups and downs throughout the week, according to the tone of leaks coming from the negotiations.

Of course, this is only relevant if you're a trader (gambler). Looking to the longer-term, Britain's housing shortage shows no sign of abating and the house building sector is going to be a pretty safe bet for the next 20 years and beyond. I even think that when help-to-buy expires, it will be replaced by a similar government incentive. Hang on to your TW shares, keep reinvesting the divis and in 5 years' time you'll be in clover.

Correction: May/Boris Plan

WiganWarriors. Predictably, the DUP appear to be digging in their heels already. I wish they could be bypassed, but the numbers just aren't there to get a deal through without their support, as Theresa May found to her cost. And if the DUP aren't playing, you can be sure the provisional wing of the Conservative Party (the ERG) won't be far behind.

Hopefully, next Saturday's Commons sitting will get behind a Brexit poll (No-deal, May Plan or rescind Article 50). Now that the electorate are better educated on matters Brexit, I think their informed decision would give MPs enough clarity to proceed.

Nice relief bounce again yesterday. It looks like another 4p selling opportunity may present itself again before too long. If it does, grab it while you can.

If a new funding source is found, whoever coughs up is going to want the lion's share of investors' equity. It is hard too see who will provide the funding now, when they can just wait to buy it cheaper after CVA/administration. The project will almost certainly continue, but alas it will probably be without the long-suffering SM shareholders.

I wonder what investors did before the advent of the 24-hour news cycle and the internet? There was just as much bad news around then, but people probably just rode it out, unless it was hugely significant.

Nice bounce, but as we know, this SP has a habit of dipping at the slightest whiff of bad news, so enjoy it while you can - and when it dips again, keep reinvesting the divis while it's cheap.

With all the will in the world, I cannot see a Brexit deal being done by 31 Oct. Even if the Boris plan is a runner, it is almost certainly going to require an extension, which will cause all sorts of mayhem. The plan could still fall apart before then if, say, the immutable DUP decide it's not in their interests.

Bab has risen with most of the FTSE 250 today - on improving Brexit deal noise.

The only proven manipulation of the Bab SP came from the notorious (and still unsourced) 'Boatman Capital report' which is now believed to have been a possible Russian attempt to damage Bab, as a major UK defence contractor.

The fundamentals of Bab are excellent and the SP is still woefully undervalued.

This profitable company, with its highly skilled workforce, specialized engineering expertise and healthy order book, struggles to maintain its £2.73 bn market cap, while a glorified effing exercise bike company (Peloton), which has never made a profit, has just floated with a valuation of $7 bn. It's an odd world. Perhaps Bab should start running slick TV ads, given that the bottom line appears to be increasingly irrelevant to some investors.
