Interestingly, Toubani has done a 'gold stream' with the private equity firm who have recently become shareholders (with a non-exec position). 11% of future production at 20% reduction to spot pricefor aus$242 mil, then new equity for 125mil.

Also, Flagship Gold just agreed a partnership to bring abandoned mine previously ooerated by Firefinch back in to production. Not an issuing of a new mining permit on the new code, but it's positive aftivity nonetheless.

Well done, I bought some more today as well (half a pence dearer than you!). I've got enough now, think about 44 average. Should pay out 2.5 pence a share, which is over 6% yield at current price. Very much a family affair with a low free float, so can move up and down sharply. Should get a TU in 6 weeks or so. Only slight concern is the revenue from Indian market is a bit stop and start, but otherwise I'm happy holding next 18 months or so.

Looks like they're aiming for Aus$ 120mil for equity component, at 40c a share (roughly the same as share price prior to trading halt).

Bought a few here as a bit of a punt back in April. Toubani over on Asx have suspended trading pending a funding announcement for their project close to Cora's patch. Looks like mixture of debt and equity from news reports, about $390mil total. Interesting to see what the split is and who's involved. Been some private equity buying a stake recently, I think with a non-exec position tied in.

Same here, Pharmall, although I might not always double up. Only time I've ever pressed sell at 8am on bad news/results is when it's clearly terminal. Think the last time that happened was 5 years ago when I took a gamble on an oil spud that was dry as a bone and the company didn't have any other assets!

Just as a reference, someone correct me If I'm wrong, this contract is for 18 gun mounts plus spares/maintenance, so were looking roughly at $1.9mil a piece.

Didn't take it that way atrm2. Sorry to hear that. I had a spell on Prednisolone 4 years ago; not an experience I ever wish to repeat, to put it mildly. However, I've been much better since. Hope you're able to see some improvememt.

I was tempted to take some off the table as well, but decided not to in the end. I have 15k shares here, and it has become my largest holding on today's news. I was quoted 14.3 (I think) early doors for 7.5k, and my finger was twitching! Ultimately,though, I believe there's more to come. I'm hoping for an RNS of some land-based sales over the next few months. If that happens, I might well try to sell some in to it.

An additional contract on top for $7.6. Yearly contract renewals seem to be the way a lot of procurement is being done if you look at the US awards database (for relatively smaller value contracts like MSi's)

I've always seen MP Evans on the index, but never knew what they did!

I've never owned any housebuilders or construction companies for the same reasons, but I've always held construction materials companies, currently Breedon and Sigmur Roc, previously Travis Perkins.

I notice MSi's 'partner' EOS over on ASX is still storming along, up another 70% the last month. Another one, Droneshield (DRO) 50% also.

So miners/banks, and then a bit of defence/insurers. Seems a good bet, with the current climate. Are you thinking about rotating out of banks with interest rates coming down, or do you hold longer term through cycles?

Yes, certainly does tell you everything. Also, 'start-up' pharma companies seem to have an enormous cash-burn compared to start-ups in other sectors. Sad thing with 4d Pharma was the directors had put a good amount of their own cash in.

To be honest, I hardly ever invest in companies these days that don't generate income, unless it's a small outright punt on a gold exploration outfit or an oil spud. No P/E, then I'm not interested.

Out of interest, what are you 'income plays' you mentioned?

i had a small punt on a company called 4d pharma. nearly doubled, so i sold my initial stake and left the profit it. small holding, and i wasn't really paying attention to it for a quite a while. anyway, i saw a bit of an investor q&a thing at some conference, and it was perfectly clear, even through a webcam, that one of the founders and director had been on a ******. i couldn't believe they were letting him answer questions in such a state. sold the rest before loans were called in suddenly very shortly after and it went belly up.
