RE: AGM attendance4 Jun 2024 15:34
I was firmly in favour of the farm out and I'm still believing it was the saviour of our company. As for the question where would we be if it hadn't been held up by the administration, I see that as nothing to do with the farm out but the answer to that seven year delay is we would probably be four years ahead of where we are now. However that leads to another question, even if we were that four years ahead, would the country have been ready for the gas? I think the answer is no. It is clear by what has gone on in recent weeks and the promotional tour that the president has been on to raise awareness and funds that they are now in a position to push ahead.
As frustrating as it has been this is not like building an extension on the side of a house and many will know the amount of red tape you have to go through just for such a small project over here.
A key thing to remember as Jay told us at that AGM. The alternative was to drill and raise, drill and raise but I did get the impression he would have liked to have got on with what was known as NT3.
Maybe the board at the time held him back, who knows?
Obviously for whatever reason the board decided to pay off the loan rather than use the money to drill on. Anyway all those possibilities are spilt milk not with crying over. It now looks like we have a tremendous future here so imo we should all be pretty upbeat about that and not worry about the past.
