Having looked into how it is retrieved I would suggest that the testing is for more than just the Co2 levels.

It's a simple separation process but as you say they need the well to be flowing to guage the rate of flow of the condensate.

The higher depression the more condensate will be down there and we know Ruvuma is a high preface system.

Condensate is oil. When I suggested at the AGM that people haven't realised the value of it when it was $66 per barrel recently. Tom replied, I don't think we have really got our heads around the potential value yet.

ARAs revised estimate after the 3D published 19th May showed a risked volume of 55.2 MMbls of condensate.

I'm no mathematician but I do know that many barrells multiplied by $66 equals an awful lot of money.

In other words mega money. I am just shocked that nobody talks about it.

This compensation was the bit I was referring to when I said they were ambitious expecting to drill by April... From experience here, that process has taken much longer than 6 months and they haven't started it yet.

"An environmental impact assessment for the drilling programme has been completed, said Pura, with the compensation process for project-affected-people expected to begin soon."

This is why if we are sharing the drill rig with them I think we might get first bite and drill in April as Tom indicated at the AGM.

Well I said the other day that given we were told payments were to be paid a year ago and look how long that has taken. M&P have just been told payment will be made after permissions are given so that seems like M&Ps start date is ambitious. In saying that they have now started their tendering process.

I think if we got a rig for April its possible for them to take it from end of June but we are not privy to the deal.

Having gone back through everything particularly Toms presentation he stated about the decoupling as you said because they want gas asap they are to produce from NT2 by end of first Qtr beginning second Qtr = the April that the TG are pushing for.

He also stated that Chikumbi one will still be drilled before the NT1 work over as I had remembered. The Ch1 well to be spud pretty soon after production of NT2 and NT1 work over straight after that with all three wells expected to be online by Qtr 3

I knew it would be madness to to mob and demob a rig which is no doubt how it stuck in my mind and I was right on that score. As you also say and I can now agree with CH1 is more likely to take place second Qtr.

Another point Tom raised was they are in negotiations over services etc and would let us know nearer the time when things are finalised.

Three months on from there and the TG are certainly pushing that schedule. Let's hope it is kept too. We should hear something on the pipeline soon, though my enquires with a Scottish company a few years back said depending on terrain it would take about three months to build. With a rainy season due, to meet deadline we might think they would begin end of November December time?

I agree it is all about the rig but as a rig is required for the workover, and both NT1 & 2 are required for production as far as we know. To meet the April production deadline they are still going to have to mobilise and demobilise a rig, and so to send it back and bring it back later defeats the object of a rig share in the first place from a cost point of view. I'll shall remain optimistic the rig will be used for both until I have company confirmation.

It was said long before the AGM Crusty. I'm sorry I don't recall them saying it was decoupled, but even if so, they didn't say it wasn't going to happen and TPDC have given the impression it will via various sources, but doable it surely is, they have six months between now and April. Not practical? I'm not sure why you would say it's not practical? To me, if it is doable then it is practical, and six months including a decent dry season and the fact that a hard tarmac laid road was nearing completion to NT1 site 3 months ago (as per Google earth) and the recent article find of the logistics and site infrastructure survey that was done around the same time. That makes it very practical to me assuming a rig is or can be sourced. the long lead items are already on site we are led to believe and again referring to Google earth there is no reason to doubt that. We will see over the coming few weeks or so I expect if it is to be December. I tend to think more likely Jan/Feb

Judging by timings here, I don't see them ready before April which does leave time.

The disappointing thing for us is that the operator doesn't have to report every stage to us, so we don't know at this stage other than their is time for it to be done before April. I still feel they will do as we were originally informed and drill CH1 with the same rig as the workover. As the need NT1 & 2 for the initial production it would be silly not to pull in CH1 because of demob costs etc. Doing that would also complete the first phase as TPDC were talking about in their recent newsletter where four more are to be done in phase two.

Ntorya is planned to be in production by April and a rig is required to makeover one of the NT wells.

Rumours abound of rig share with M&P who plan to drill next year which this AI piece refers to stating their drill program to start April.
