Crusty I think you have made an error on the rainfall period. December to March is the optimal time to work for the winter rains are normally Oct to end Nov and the main rains begin April. All ish of course.

In a formal life as a HGV mechanic I would be looking at a hot stacked rig only requiring what we used to term a 'grease monkey' to look after it. That is not generally a full blown mechanic, that somebody on a lower level of pay will just ensure that the machine is kept ticking over and the nipples are greased. As has been said demobilising a mobilising is expensive and I assume would require a total full service when recommissioning. By keeping the machine ticking over regularly it prevents rusting up and expensive seizures in the machinery.

To say the mining licence will have no impact on its own is nonsense.

You only have to look at what happened to Aminex earlier this year in Tanzania when they received the development licence. It went from 0.8 to 2.04 granted its gradually slipped back and sits in a range of 1.4 to 1.6 as it waits for the production action to start which should start any day now.

In an ideal world the ML will come followed by the outside funding plans, then the schedule of work. It is far better in my opinion to have a stream of news rather than it come all together lump followed by a long period of radio silence.

Anywhere around the current price is a good price to buy in my opinion. The ML could drop at any moment, so, for those trying to squash it down further for an extra half percent, is it worth the risk of missing out on a bag? That's the question for yourselves.

However semantic you want to get crusty it doesn't change the fact that it is valuable stuff as I have stated $66 dollars a barrel is not to be sniffed at and you were present when the sultan stated yes it is very valuable, and Tom stated yes we haven't even got a heads around it yet.

It is perhaps just not the sort of crude black oil that you and others are thinking of.

One thing for sure in my mind is that the condensate has not been accounted for in any way within the share price. It is clear from your own reaction over the years to talk of oil and the lack of overall talk and acknowledgement of it's presence by others that it has been dismissed as meaningless, which IMO is certainly not the case.

I think people have been so focused on the gas that they have not recognised its value at all.
