Wyn it certainly will make people anxious if people keep harping on about IFS and MAYBE's that strangely enough are always coming from a negative perspective.

I haven't got a clue how long it will take to repair or the extent of the breakdown, but what I do know is breakdowns get fixed by people who know what they are doing.

Perhaps you might like to speculate on the assumption that it has been fixed today and that the testing might reveals 5% Helium in a few days time. At least that would show some balance for the sake of those anxious from the IFS and Buts you have been reminding us of?

Unlikely as it may be, nobody knows the true issue until we are told. So much better to hold a half full glass than bemoan a half empty one. It causes much less of the anxiety you are concerned about and it does make for friendlier BBs.

What was said in an earlier interview was that if we get 250bopd then full field development will be slower than if we get 900bopd, fairly obvious really, but either way the indication given was that it will be self funding.

I don't know about anybody else, but I certainly wasn't expecting an ESP and full production by November. That would be a ridiculous expectation to go from a rod pump installation to that level in a matter of six weeks. It was never going to happen and they never said or indicated that would be the case.

In fact this time they have indicated that it will be around 12 weeks between the two which is far more realistic. However once the Rod pump is installed it will probably take a couple of weeks or so to be producing the 250bpod so by Christmas we should be seeing invoices out for the oil produced. That will be good cash flow through to the mid Qtr1 projection for the ESP installation, once done that should see an immediate and rapid rise towards that 900bpod which is approximately twelve weeks away (3months away and not six as you state.

If you are one of the "most on here were expecting the ESP pump to be in by end of Nov with the well on full production" It does seems you were, as you stated "I was hoping for 5-600bbls by christmas" then you are dafter than you make yourself out to be my friend. ;D

To be taken seriously I suggest you need to be realistic on both sides of the scale. Expecting it to be 6 weeks early on one hand and 3 months late on the other looks a bit suspect to me

The confirmation that the pump installation has begun is what I was looking for. Production to begin in a fortnight and production is what it is all about. Bringing liquid money out of the ground.

Truth is we don't know the answers, but we are talking the way the engineers on the ground will be methodical working out what to test before moving through each stage of fault finding.

Tbh Dai if it were the pipes giving. Fluid would be everywhere and the issue would be fairly obvious and repaired pretty quickly.

Well, lets not get ahead of ourselves stretching out the worst case scenarios to four weeks. At this stage there is no reason to think that and as for Itumbula being affected. Unless the delays and parts have caused an over run of more than £600,000.00 it should not stop Itumbula as that was the figure that was raised over and above the required amount which was to allow for both drills and a further six months operational time.

Of course if a commercial find is pretty clear then they may opt to use those funds to develop and get set for production leaving Itumbula for later. In that case nobody will complain because investors will be smiling. At least I won't and will be 😁
